Jae Millz is actually pretty good, since he's from Harlem... But of course no one has a goddamn clue who he is, since he isn't one of the main 3.

Tribe Called Quest

The Roots

Beastie Boys

Dilated People

Wu

Gangstarr

Smif & Wessun

Blackstar

De La Soul

Mobb Deep

EPMD

The Lox

Recently - Slaughterhouse

Don't know much about The Lox or Slaughterhouse otherwise this list is fire, my two additions would be Eric B and Rakim and Madvillain

LOX also known as D-Block, as I posted early, is in my opinion the greatest rap group of all time. Very well rounded, have something for everybody, I would recommend them indefinately.

People Under the Stairs

Gravediggaz (Pre-Wu)

Cyne

Heiro/Souls of Mischief

Lords of the Underground

The three that pop into my head immediately are The Pharcyde, Lords of the Underground, and Digable Planets.

I like everything about this post. I feel like we could be friends. Everyone thinks my taste in music is awful while they're listening to macklemore and mac miller.

Fuck yeah dude, I listen to a lot of other stuff but always come back to classic hip hop and classic rock.

Oh and if a duo counts then Clipse. If not then obviously tde/black hippy crew..... At least for modern stuff

Actually, Ruff Ryders = In my opinion, the greatest hip hop collective from the end of the 90's. Nobody can contest the fact that Swizz Beatz in 1998-2002 was one of the greatest producers of all time, with his unique, sample-free, keyboard production style. Add LOX & DMX and you have one of the most solid teams out there.
