Best powder skis that aren't made any more

180 cm Atomic Powder Magics (133-114-122) vertical sidewalls

i've been trying to find these skis for months and finally got a good deal on a set. I had to do a fair amount of work on them since they had been mounted a few times but the bases are perfect. The shovel is pretty soft but once you flex under foot they are rock hard cuz they have a metal sheet bewteen the topsheet and wood core. I can't wait for a powder day

the CMH skis are just volkl explosivs with a different topsheet. Very sick skis though. Still rather have the axiom, they are a lot fatter than the explosiv.

PPs used to be a bargain hunter's dream, but you're right, since two years ago the availability has dried up.

yeah these were an ebay find and the reason they are so far back (3.5 cm to be exact) is because whoever owned them in the past had mounted a few times and their were a lot of holes so I plugged and epoxied all the holes and had to move back to get a good spot to mount securly. I'm thinking it might work kinda the the burton fish with the rear stance and give them a surf style of riding, they might not be too stable at high speeds but face shots should work just fine. a few pairs of these have been going for 200-350 on the TGR forums

I'm a fan of the Dynastar BIG Hell, I still have a set sittin in the garage, practly brand spankin new.. 190cm.. Wonder what I could get for those.. I think I've still got them mounted to a set of Looks...

All great skis, but I think I would rather stick with a set of JJ's or ANT's...

I'd vote Spats or Axiom/ Pow Plus. Still looking for a Pair of Pow +'s or Axioms. I was looking @ those same skis on ebay but decided i didn't want to take the chance on skis i knew nothing about so im waiting. Anyone have a stock pile?
