Best places to camp in Glacier National Park/Whitefish

I'm driving to Whitefish from Bozeman next week and looking to get some insight on where I should car/hammock camp for a few nights in or around Glacier/Whitefish. Most of the major campgrounds in Glacier won't be open yet, and I'm looking to find some good drive in spots. Off the beaten path is just fine, my truck is pretty capable off road, so I'm confident with taking it down just about any 4x4 trail. If you have any recommendations, please let me know!

I don’t know enough of the area to tell you where to camp but I do know that area has a ton of grizzly bears. Keep a clean camp and you should be good. Maybe a can of bear mace should be in the car for protection.

You could probably find some cool spots around Hungry Horse Reservoir or up the North Fork Flathead on the whitefish range side

That's what I've been told, thanks for the heads up though. I'll definitely be packing the heat
