Best PC program for beat-making?

so i used FL studio XXL a while back when i started making beats, but i stopped when i lost the program. are there better programs for making hip hop / electronica beats out there? i dont care about price, i torrent anyways.

ableton live is great, it's a good tool for experimenting and writing down your ideas

Ableton Live is definitely the best program ive used, so much you can do with it too.

ableton is the ballz. i'm actually using it as we speak. being the cheapo that i am that cant afford an mpd or anything, i can use teh comp keyboard keys as triggers for samples and stuff.
