Best Park in VT? Planning ski trip

Hey all,

I live and ski in Western NY, mountains like Holiday Valley and Bristol. Been skiing in VT but due to being young or injured i've never paid attention to the parks. I'm planning a 2-3 day trip up with some friends between now and Jan 15, which mountain will we have the most fun at, which will have the best park, best snow conditions, etc. Won't be skiing park the entire time, but maybe like half.

Places we've been considering are Stowe, Mt. Snow, Okemo. Let me know what you guys think, reviews, personal experiences, etc.

Budgeting is key, gonna look for really cheap accommodations and such, Thanks guys!

Stowe is my favorite mountain for park, also Sugarbush has a pretty good park. Okemo is flat as hell and shitty lift lines so don't go there, and Mt. Snow is pretty good too.

between stowe and mt snow, which would make for a better 2-3 day trip? taking into account slopes/conditions outside the park and resort amenities like food and town and shit

I would have to side with stowe. which contrary to what you said is easily the most expensive place on the east if you still cared about price. But also if your going to be in the park only half the time, go stowe. The terrain is pretty crazy and they're much more likely to have decent snow than southern vermont.

not factoring in the price, definitely stowe. but it costs quite a bit more for a day pass, i'd look into Killington or Sugarbush as well as stowe and mt snow

Judging by conditions at this point Killington will probably be a safe bet. I personally ski stowe and sugarbush because of the proximity to where I live but if I were to schedule the trip right now and wanted the best conditions Killington it would be. On the other hand if you schedule it closer to Jan. 15 they should all have decent parks at that point. Look for sugarbush having a better variety of rails but stowe edging them out in jumps. Killington usually have a good variety of both. Crowd wise it will probably be the busiest at Killington, then Stowe, with Sugarbush being the less crowded. However if you go to stowe/sugarbush they aren't that far apart and you can sample both of them.

Sugarbush. The park is going to be off the chain this year, I can tell you that. Cheaper than Stowe and the mountain itself is pretty fun if you know where to ski.

if bush and stowe both have their full parks up you should hit both of them...two really fun but different parks, definitely will have a blast at both!!!

so the verdict is that we are staying at a cheap little motel/B&B near sugarbush and gonna drive up to stowe 1 or 2 days for skiing.

those with knowledge, does this sound reasonable?

yeah, its reasonable, but you couldn't find anywhere closer to Stowe? Sugarbush is like 1hr 15 mins away from stowe.

google said 50 mins, and we will probably ski 2 days at bush judging by mountain size and what people have been saying.
