Anybody know of any good music venues for small acts in Boston?? Trying to a book a gig and could us some help! Thanks.

indie-ish rock. first trip to boston so we wont have any sort of fan pull. looking for a smaller venue, maybe student district...

Check out MIddle East Upstairs, TT the bears, Toad, Cantab, Paradise but in the bar (you won't be able to play the stage area), House of Blues Bar (not the venue it is next door), Copperfields, All Asia, Harpers Fairy.

I guess that is a good start. If I think of anymore I will post them.

harpers ferry closed but is re opening in january as the brighton music hall. It's going to be a live nation venue for smaller acts that aren't quite ready to play the paradise or house of blue.

if I were you I'd check out some bars aound allston like the draft. They tend to have more indie type bands.

Back in the day the ICC church in Alston had some good shows
also if you were looking for heavy music you can always check out returntothepit.com thats a great source kinda, i mean at least when i used to go to shows it was. Boston has a great music scene.
Berkley sometimes has things going on you can always walk past there, also in the theater district you can swing by Emerson " WERS 88.9" on the radio dial thats the best student run radio station in boston, they always have a list of whats going on in and around the city. If you are looking for the "student music scene" i would check there also a great radio station to listen to.
Listen to it in advance online or podcasts and see what you like and what is playing when you are around, they tend to play a lot of local music to and the BEST REGGAE at night!!!! and sat-sun at night shit the best love makin music old r&b and hip.hop
anyways hope this kinda helps or makes any scene at all
