"Yeah hi, my little sister is getting her boots on with my mom right now at in the lodge, could i grab her 5 and under ticket real quick? (free)"

"sure OP here you go!"

ski for free

any other tricks??

put laxatives in the lodge's soft serve drink machine, about an hour after lunch, there'll be half as many people on the mountain, and twice as much fun!

"Could I just get one lift pass"

"Sure, how old are you?"

"Uh... 12"

Vail resorts thought I was a 18 year old for 3 years, I just kept making new accounts and pushing my birthday back another year.

Smoke shacks are basically skiing's easter eggs.

Knowing those spots where you can squeeze you car in at the front of the parking lot at your local hill.

Figuring out where the lodge's hot tub is and how to get in free.

some ski hills allow one free lift ticket if you are a season pass holder and you "forgot your pass." Proceed to parking lot and sell/trade or give to buddy.

Top lot at Stevens Pass

Learning to piss off the chair (disclaimer: chicks may not want to try this, could result in an uncomfortable situation).

Avi lung used as a snorkel on those deep days

I plan on being 18 according to Vail through my mid 40s

it's simple but the "Line hack"

Get 18 people in one line on a 6 person chair. Make 3 rows of 6, and pack them together tightly. Try to make it seem as if it's one group. When they call you, everyone rushes out inconspicuously.

In the French Alps: become good enough friends with the lifties and instructors to be allowed to use the special Ecole du Ski Français fasttrack lane for the lifts. It saves hours.

Fill your pockets with ketchup by using a ketchup pump and then you have a lot of ketchup on the go.

"Hey I am buying a day pass for little brother" (actually buying for yourself)

"Sure, how old is he?"

"12"

Use kids pass for yourself

I had to help one these french kids on and off the chair at Tignes last year, he dropped his pole 2 minutes into a 15 minute chair and cried the entire way..

Cafeteria packed? Fill that tray up and walk right out.. if they ask you just came back to get some ketchup.

Not Really a hack, thats just straight stealing....

For Anyone who is offering "hacks" that take money from your local hill, you no longer have any right to talk shit about crappy parks or shitty customer service.

Theres a difference between being frugal and being a thief.

fuck i feel old.

Tomato Tomahhto... "Local" hill.... you mean that gigantic corporation that owns 30 different mountains?? I don't think my slice of pizza is going to keep them from hiring buying a new pipe dragon.

That's like saying individual littering doesn't contribute to pollution

Volunteer to do some work on park crew or something similar...get a staff pass...use that pass to get free and discounted passes to other resorts.

not at all, its not easy getting by as a young adult, especially when hills are making massive profit margins, i mean sure it won't be so much when i'm making a real wage but for now paying the a same prices as my parents is pretty difficult. Like why is there a discount for kids under 18 when the chances are their parents are paying anyway. Great, skiing will be a sport i can pursue in 10 years.

Snack pocket, or in layman's terms, a jacket pocket designated for on-mountain snacks such as lucky charms or trail mix.

My friends and I just all walk in the "singles" line and we all just end up cutting the whole line while also being on the same lift with each other. Sometimes people get pretty pissed.

Fill your pockets, gloves, boots, pants, and helmet with spaghetti. You'll be warm in the cold morning and have a cheap lunch to eat

Slide your way up the line through incomplete foursomes at a quad chair. Or just act like you're trying to get to someone.

You and Brett should really get your shit straightened out.

They have a good reason to, I despise self entitled fucks like you

If someone looks like they are finished with their tray of food, go up and ask if you could clear it for them. 7 out of 10 times they'll think you work for the mountain and you can eat the scraps. That's some serious ski bum shit

From my teenage days: If you are at the hill when it is busy, go into the food area and grab a slice of pizza. Eat the slice while in line for your fries. Eat fries while in line to pay (grab a fountain pop along the way). Show up at the till with your pop and grab a chocolate bar. Pay for the chocolate bar and pop and continue on your day.

You're advocating stealing. If everyone stole shit, then there would be no business. I get you're poor, but if you're in school most places offer student discounts and HUGE season pass discounts. If you're not a student, then you should have a job and be able to afford shit let's be real. Yea they are making a profit, that's the point, but it's not like the lifts and snow guns run on hopes and dreams.

Or you can just bring your food from home like a lot of people and not spend a billion dollars in the cafeteria

Dude there's not even a lift line at pebble creek. So basically you are just going through a narrow Lane to get to the lift instead of a big lane lol.
