Whats the best lodge food you have seen?

Definitely not 7 springs. Got one of those giant Oreo cookies one day and went to open the thing after I bought it and there was a giant ass bite mark out of it. That just explains the whole situation there perfectly.

Revelstoke Mountain Resorts double burger is the best burger I have ever had in my life, and trust me. I have eaten thousands of burgers. The combination of juicy Angus beef pattys topped with delicious special sauce on soft slightly crunchy white burger buns creates a delight to the senses. Even the thought of the burger now gets me thinking about how I could crush two or three with a choccy milk.

Yeah. Firing up the jetboil on the tailgate for some top ramen is the only call. If I ever spend money in the lodge it's at the bar and even then I feel taken advantage of.

You don't even need to splash out on a jet boil

Buy a

$20 gas cooker

$ 10 gas can

$10 cups canteen (one of these)

Store a pack of noodles in the cups canteen and put your lighter (weather proof matches) and gas in a small bag.

Profit???

Jetboils are the shit. Bomb when you're campin/backpackin in the summer too. There are cheaper stoves, but none as easy to use and stow.

One day I'll make enough money to eat at the lodge. Maybe if I become part of the ski-5-days-a-year crowd I'll eat more lodge food.

It's the best investment I've made in a long time. I got mine during a sale on Backcountry for a little over hundred bucks. I take it backpacking,camping,skiing. Anytime I'm outdoors I have it with me. Real compact and bullet proof.

Not exactly lodge food but the free cookies that Beaver Creek gives out at the main base at the end of the ski day are some of the best I've tasted. Freshly made, warm, and soft. I wish more resorts did this.

Okay how many of you grease balls have eaten food you found left in the lodge? Ski people leave so much behind and it's always kinda tempting, I guess I have just a little bit of dignity cuz I don't but when I'm ripped those half eaten fries sitting on a table in the chalet look so good

When I was in college I would eat leftover tenders left on lodge tables at Mount Snow. Soooo good

Nothing beats a $5 Gatorade from a vending machine at Vail. Schweitzer used to have a Sandwich and icecream shop called Alpenglow that had bomb food and they used to play ski movies 24/7 so it was a fun place to hang out at the end of the day. Then the resort got bought and they closed it down to put in a wine and cheese shop. Im still bitter about that shit.

Whitewater BC. So tasty and hearty and most of it feels moderately healthy, to the point that they have their own cookbook. Been a couple years since I've been but I remember big bowls and all the classics being awesome.
