hey guys I have decided that im going to invest into some knee braces, but i don't want to spend 300 dollars per knee braces. so my question is whats the best knee brace for around 100-200 dollars? what are you guys using for a knee brace?

Why are you using a knee brace? If it's because of ACL or similar, you should talk to your PT. They should be able to point you in the right direction, but it's going to be more than $200.

If your just wearing it to wear one, DONT.

Wearing braces weakens your muscles and will actually make it easier for you to tear an ACL etc. You will be much better off working out and building muscle in your legs. It will improve your over all skiing ability, and it's free!

My custom brace that I got after surgery cost over a grand. But it's made of carbon fiber, and I was able to claim it on my medical.

I wear a cheap-o neoprene wrap on my other knee, because tele skiing made my knees sore. The wrap helps them not feel so sore.

It totally depends on your injury. And as said before, don't wear them as a preventative tool. The best "knee brace" you can have is working out and strengthening your knee

A cheap-ish brace will be uncomfortable to ski in and won't give much more protection/support than a basic neoprene wrap.

If you're going to ski with braces you really need custom fit ones and they're not cheap.

Why do you want them anyway?

I ride with 2 custom ossur cti braces cause I have had an acl surgery on my right knee but I also have genetically weak knees even though I have spent alot of time strengthening them, I also have a problem with over extension in my knee and I also have a loose LCL in my right knee so knee braces are a must have for me but if you dont need them just make sure to keep your leg muscles strong and you should be fine.

really depends on your injury/reason why you want it

If its because of acl, you're not gonna go very far with 100-200$.

My dad had both acl tor and for psychological reasons he now uses medical bandage to "brace" his knees, makes him think it holds them in place (it kinda does but, really, more mental than anything).

I just have really bad knees and im afraid that I will snap some shit in my knee so Im planning on wearing it on the days I want to send big. I am also going to the gym everyday doing knee and leg strengthening so maybe I should just keep that up and screw the brace?
