I ski wit a helmet so over-ear ones wont work, lost my last 2 pairs so lookin for a replacement... Also for casual use, gotta be under 40-50 plz and thanks
Get some Gummies from Wal-Mart. They are like, $15, multiple colors, and they have decent sound. Hell, you could get three pairs and still be in your budget.
Skullcandy's are decent, but a lot people buy them for the name, not the quality. Like someone said above me, get a pair of Sennheisers if you want a good in hear ear-bud.
the best earbuds, in my opinion, are the plain white ipod headphones. they probably won't last forever if you blast them nonstop, but as far as sounding decent and staying in your ear really well, they're hard to beat. i am also fond of the skullcandy fmj, but they're more than $50.
Fuck sennheiser. I've had 5 pairs of them stop working. I gave up after the 5th replacement set broke and I didn't even bother getting a 6th under warranty. Went and got skullcandy FMJs and they're still going strong.
ive had two pairs of smokin buds, i find their sound quality to be pretty good for how cheap they are. bass is good, treble is good. they never distort, if they do, your volume is waaayyy too loud. they're only 20-25$
I'll vote for the Skullcandy Full Metal Jackets. Retail is a little out of your price range but you if check Brociety or Whiskey Militia you should be able to find them under $50. Stay in your ears well, lifetime warranty, and decent sound. May not be excellent but if you can find them for under $30 you'll get a good deal.
if your at all concerned about sound quality, i truely reccomend you stay away from Skull candy, or any of the "fashion" headphones out there.
Ive said it before, and ill say it again. all time best earbuds are sony h.ears. apperently they are discontinued, but they were like 10 bucks, sound awesome, and are sooooo damn comfy.
ha, i said stay away from fashion stuff while posting something in a bunch of colors. either way they Sony, and they make bitchin headphones. for real, they sound stellar though. im not a huge fan of sealed earbuds unless your not interacting with people. these things are the shit for listening to music, and bein able to hold a conversation.
well i like sealed because when i listen to music i dont want anything distracting me, i wanna hear it..... i had Wesc Flutes and rlly liked them because when i put them on, i didnt hear anything besides the music, which is what i like..
And I hate to burst the Skullcandy bubble. But their earbuds are consistently easy to break, and have piss poor sound reproduction. (I have not tried every model, but I have owned two different ones). I do not know if the "Full Metal Jacket" buds are as shitty as the other ones, but they are very pricy. I do know, that the smokin' buds suck balls though. They sound tinny, with weak yet washed out bass. I have had better 1 dollar airline headphones...
I have also owned many pairs of ear buds and these are the best ones I have ever owned. Went almost a year without any problems, then someone stepped on one and broke the wire, and Nixon replaced them for free! Plus they come in rad colors with multiple sizes and awesome sound quality! http://www.nixonnow.com/headphones/
this style of headphones are great for riding b/c they stay in your ear a lot better than regular earbuds. i find that regular earbuds fall out or become loose in your ear easily.
i use icons now though, but i dont wear a helmet so...
dude, i had those in black!indeed, best in-ear headphone i've ever heard + they stay in while sporting; be it running, skiing, biking, longboarding, whatever!
great find; didn't think of it!
just get a pair of skullcandy ink'ds off of amazon for 11 bucks shipped, they sound great, have good bass, stay in your ears with three different sizes of tips, and the best part is you can trash them or lose them and only be out 11 bucks!
Koss PortaPros. They aren't ear budz, but they fit under my helmet and they have some of the best sound I have ever heard out of a cheap pair of headphones. I got them on amazon for $30.
SC asyms. the over ear cable makes it so the bud NEVER gets pulled out of your ear, and it sits flat to your ear so goggles dont move it around or smush it to the side.
my only complaint with the skullcandy buds is one time while skiing some trees the cord caught a limb and yanked the earbud out but left the rubber thing in my ear...had to go to ski patrol and get tweezers to get it out
