Hey newschoolers, I was wondering what you guys think is the best freeski shop in western US/Canada?

For me it would have to be FRESH sports beacuse I live in calgary and no other shops can beat it in the area. I really dont know if any other shop could beat it though. Maybe you guys can prove me wrong.

The cage at Woodward at copper is a cool store, although they don't sell actual skis.

Yeah they sell apparel, skateboards, goggles, gopros, gloves, helmets and other stuff. They also have a lounge and a mini-bowl for skating

/images/flash_video_placeholder.pngcool thread by the way, I am interested to see some cool shops!

sadly Porters is struggling, and only the Truckee store still exists this May... hopefully it works out. They've done a lot to help local Tahoe athletes and support comp's for a long time.... pour some out for Porters.

Slopestyle in Breck is so sick. Tons of nice guys with good and small companies gear. It's basically a shop for all newschoolers.

"best shop in the west" is a pretty odd thing to ask. the "west" is pretty big. and everyones just going to say their local shop is better. basically this thread is pointless.

I live in ontario and know that fresh is a legit store because i bought something online from them sort of, there was a shipping error and they fixed it by sending me what i really wanted (a size bigger) and a shirt hat and bandana

I agree, and I actually like Fresh more overall, having bought lots of gear from both. Fresh doesn't often have very good prices though, except for their sale in the fall.

sports authority!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh wait, ski shop...

slopetyle in breck, colorado freeride in crested butte, evo in freemont (beware the troll).

Slopestyle hands down. Have almost everything someone on this site would want. They do mounts super quick too so theres no waiting 5 days. Guys that run it are insanely nice too.
