Best Denver neighborhoods to live in?

Moving to denver shortly...was hoping to move to walking distance of downtown. But curious what neighborhoods are good for someone looking to have fun and wants to meet people (don't know many at all)...looking to live with roomates if possible and spend $1100 a month. Willing to go higher but want to save some cash. Also have a car.

Was looking at downtown, cap hill, somewhere around cheeseman park

any other suggestions?

but on the real. cap hill is dope, just moved out after living there for a little over 2 years, parking sucks. downtown if you have a parking garage, cheesman, washpark. you just have to look for a while. i suggest looking in the looking in shared rooms in craigslist. i live in cole, i love it because its relatively downtown but more of a neighborhood feel.

I mean i'd go higher on my rent easily if I can get a parking garage near downtown. Looking for that toned down city feel. I probably also fall into the category on the above map somewhere around ex - fraty boy / douchey rich type haha considering that was the area I was looking around anyways. But I also really have no idea just trying to get an idea

Rent in denver still mindlbowingly cheap compared to NYC. Hope to find some roomates and do like 1200 somewhere near dowtnown

look at the uptown square apartments. pretty expensive for what you get but its a good area lots of young professionals. ive had 2 friends move to denver and live there because its a huge complex and they always have openings.

alright cool appreciate it. And yea...SF is crazy. NYC is still just plain stupid. Have friends paying 15-1600 on the low end to live in a complete shit box just to be "close" to a good area. I could pay this in Denver but trying to keep it low to save some cash. Hoping to find some roomates when I move there (going to sublet a couple months) and find a decent spot in a good area for 1200 or so

As long as there isn't a billboard in spanish within a half-mile range, you're good. I would recommend somewhere near the University of Denver.

I would rather live next to my current neighbors who don't speak English than live within a half mile of you.

Down. The dive inn on south Brodway is the shit. They have a boat in the bar with life jackets you can sit in. Good times.

That sounds dope! I hit up riot the other day on the same street as level 1. Across the street they have AMAZING food carts. And the bar allows dogs 😎

Shit man; I'm on the total other side of the city 😫 I'm in se Aurora. Imma hit you up for a beer sometime soon man! Add me on Instagram or fb @frickindarn or Robert Cyr

I go to the University of Denver now, and it's a good neighborhood. But I would recommend the west side of the city since getting to trailheads and ski resorts can be a huge pain in the ass
