Best colleges for skiing

Any school with a freeride/freeski team or club. Seriously. Or join-up with your local's ski team and be a coach for a season while in school. Its the best way to stay skiing and also still get to go to classes.

I’m also applying to colleges soon and I was wondering the same things. Right now my top pick is CU boulder. Great ski culture and awesome school.

Great ski culture. Pretty shit skiing

I am currently attending SLU and it has a pretty sweet skiing culture. We have a small local mountain (Titus) which is only an hour away and offers some awesome deals and has genuinely cool parks as well as night skiing. We also ski Whiteface and Gore a ton. We have a railjam tonight at a local bar which is a fundraiser for a two day ski party that the Outing Club puts on later in the spring where we rent out Titus mountain. WoFlowz is wrong SLU isn't that difficult. Depending on your major you can ski up to five days a week. Not the best mountains and not the best snow but the culture is certainly here

Colby isn’t that close to skiing, tour guides straight up lie about the drive to sugarloaf. Had a good crew there but UMF is the superior Maine ski school by far

Would be dope if Colby still ran that little ski hill (now defunct) in Waterville.

I believe the town of waterville has plans to revive it.

Planning on going to a college with good skiing and want to know which ones have the best ski culture. Ive heard of several but everyone seems to have a different opinion.

University of Utah's probably your best option. Best location, best ski culture, very solid school, and if you live out here year round you can earn in-state tuition. Besides Utah, plymouth state (looks hella fun), uvm, or msu probably have the next best ski cultures. Other options are like boulder, CSU, University of British Columbia (hella expensive if you don't have canadian citizenship). Ofc there's also middlebury if you can actually get in there.
