Im planning a trip for next week and im just looking for some suggestions of what resort out here would have the best set ups this early in the season. Ive been looking at northstar and mammoth but let me know what else is out there.

I just spent a week in Mammoth, great park setup and they have a decent amount of snow and are set to get more this week. Also I'm not really sure how Bachelor is doing but that was my home hill for 10 years and has a decent track record of good early season conditions. And they always have sick parks if thats your priority

I just got back from Mammoth this weekend and it is good for this time of year. You could only ski Cornice from the top, but all you had to do was make two turns down Cornice and cut skier's left under the Dropout chutes to find a couple of chutes with classic Mammoth windbuff. I was skiing these chutes all weekend. The Dropouts, Paranoids et. al are too rocky to get in from the top, but using Cornice to traverse in gets you some classic windbuff. I don't ski park but Mammoth has some features and a couple of kickers set up, no pipe yet.

All these nerds talking about mammoth. Makes me sick.

Timberline has 2 features and 46 feet of vert open so the correct choice is clear.

Im not really much of a big mountain skier. Is that accessed? Or do I need some bc gear to skin up the rest of the way

It's actually all lift accessed by a revolutionary 1- tower, 300 fpm lift.
