Best boots to reduce shin bang? and yes i know I should go to the boot fitter and they will tell me what i need but NS what boot would u say is best for no shin bang

The Full tilt Drop kick is an amazing ski boot, you can get it in some places for 350 too, i have tons of friends who have them and i've tried them before. No shin Bang what so ever, super warm really comfortable too. The liners will mold to your feet.

It's like people make accounts just to say get full tilts.

Okay well i didn't make an account just to say get full tilts i don't even own a pair, right now i have a pair of dalbello boss' i said get a pair of drop kicks because they are literally more comfortable than any other boot i have ever worn and quite possibly more comfortable than my street shoes.

Hmm odd. My friend wears the full tilt drop kicks and he frequently gets shin bang. The boots are big for him as well. Hmm so it might have to do with fit.

It might have to do with fit i know that my calf is a lot bigger than most peoples so it really keeps my leg locked in and it flexes perfectly for my leg, it might be different for each person. I can only talk from my experiences with it though.

I was professionally fitted for full tilt drop kicks and haven't gotten shin bang in the 3 years I've had them

This. If they fit you, don't hate and get them. If they don't fit perfectly, get whatever the bootfitter recommends otherwise.

God all you kids are fucking retarded. FULL TILTS ARE A BAD BOOT. They break very easily, preform somewhat okay-ish but arent what you really want. Just get what fits your foot and dont go big-air dave.

Anything with a softer shell will of course be more forgiving on your shins. But like you expect fit (ie: bootfitter) will be the ultimate decider.

^agree

"Dont go big-air dave."

^disagree

The best ones are the ones that fit. dont listen to what other people have to say about their feet bécasse it has nothing to do with yours

I was kidding. You suck.

Shin bang is what happens when you ski like a gaper, all backseat and no control, it's got nothing to do with the stiffness of the boot. Listen to your bootfitter, make sure you get something with a customizeable shell (I've put over 200 days on my Salomon Quest Max 120s and still love putting my feet in them) and learn to land on your feet, not your tails.

And for the love of christ, don't get FT boots.

Just go to your local ski shop and get fitted. If there are a couple, shop around and get some opinions.

No one over the internet can accurately recommend any one boot without actually fitting you.
