p14's, fks 120's, Deadbolts (i'm interested to see how these perform.

'Duran Duran bought Armada, Armada bought Microsoft, Microsoft bought MSP and AOL, AOL owns Time4 which owns the MountainSportsMedia which owns SKi, Skiing and RIP Freeze... so Armada now owns McDonalds and Coke.

are the deadbolts the 4frnt ones?, but id go with look/rossi

You know you have the coolest cab driver when he says, 'And we're off like a prom dress.'

^Yes they are. One has a din of 16 and the other 14, I think. Most people don't think they're going to be good, but I think they're going to be the best.

i'm also gettin new bindings to put on my chronic minis and i wanna get look p10s or rossi scratch 100's

and i bet 4frnt's bindings are going to be sick because 4frnt is a company that always does thorough testing on their stuff and gets the pros opinion on everything and have sick customer service

depending on the din range you need, get either a rossi fks 125 or fks 155. they sell them on proctor jones.com. in my opinion, these bindings are the best available at this time. i'm also interested in the 4frnt/vist clamps though

don't take me as a joke i'm no comedian,, too many mental problems got me snortin coke and smokin' weed again

Is FKS lighter than P14? I know this is asked a lot but my p14 are so damn heavy I want fks but don't want to go heavier. Anyone have the actual weights?

Brand new Giro 9. MX size XL color black XL = 59-61.5cm. PM me if you want it.

the fks's are gonna be a little bit lighter than the p14s, but if your p14s are feeling heavy to you, you should consider getting some leg muscle

Mine felt heavy to and I'm really really stro... haha, they did feel heavy though.

^ Do you own or ever ride a pair of P14's? maybe this guy says the P14's feel heavy becaue they are the heavest look binding made..... i agree they are a bit heavy, but i love mine and i'm almost sure the FKS series and the zrace series will both be lighter then the 04/05 and older P14's.

.:l[Tyler]l:.

i can say out of experience that the deadbolt are sick,

most people that have rode them have had demo plates on, so they might have felt heavy, but the real ones are dank

^^Yes I have ridden them, I used to have them, and I agree they are pretty heavy.

When the truth is, I miss you.

Yeah the truth is, that I miss you so.

And I'm tired...

I should not have let you go.

i have a set of p14s on a demo track which is going to be heavier than the regular one and the weight is negligable compared to even the p10. I only notice a difference in weight when on the salomon bindings, which are super light

^Look's are in a different league.

sports liquidator isnt bad for rossi and looks, find a rep and ask for a pro form...thats ur best bet....also watch ebay they're are some really good deals on there

The higher end salomons (anything above the 914s, actualy even including the 914s for some people) are as good as the looks if you keep them adjusted, and they are a lighter binding. The looks are definately an extremely good bidning though, especialy for their price and availability.

Show me a picture of a cracked salomon binding above the level of the 914 (im basically talking their race bindings). I can show you probably 15 pictures of cracked look toe pieces if youd like.

My point is that all bindings can break, but that the least resistant binding to breaking, and most overall bomber binding in general is probably infact the salomon 900s, ive yet to see anyone break that thing, when i have seen a fair share of p18s break over the years.

Don't knock a product you haven't tested fairly.

I have the sickest bindings ever for sale if someone is willing to pay the $$$. They are Look zr12s, not even sold on the public market. They have the turntable heelpiece like the FKS, but are lighters and better looking. Same toe-piece as the p12. Brand new condition

I dream of winter.

Well your wrong about the zr's being lighter than the fks, its the same binding. If you compare the binding you have, to the fks one from the same year youll find them to be itentical in anything but the paintjob.

is the FKS 155 that much better than a P14 or Axial 140? any strong opinions either way

this is what I've heard and I'm actually trying to decide between the two myself

pros of FKS:

*steel toe piece more durable, tighter feel for turns

*turntable heel solid

* flat mounting and smaller footprint

* slightly lighter than the P14/140

*toe peice doesn't have upward release which is good for hucks or jumps

cons of FKS:

* toe ejects boot out from the sides only, no upward release, no multidirectional toe piece like the 140 or P14 = **less knee friendly**

*heel piece does not center itself like the P14/140 so in deep powder, it's a pain to get into

*more expensive than 140/P14

the P14/Axial 140's plastic toe piece is the only thing that worries me because I like the knee friendliness of the 140 over the FKS (it's no fun missing an entire season with a blown knee)

anybody have problems with a P14/Axial 140 in terms of toe piece durability? it's made out of high impact plastic and I've only heard one story froma guy who broke them while slamming his boots on them to clean the bottoms

anybody have them break while jumping 20-40 ft?

The toepiece will definately hold up on the smaller jumps like that, i think its just bigger back seated cliff hucks that people have problems with. Its just a when you land at the wrong angle the toepiece explodes type of thing, but you have to be a manbeast to break them most of the time. That said you can find some fks bindings with the upward releasing toepiece if your lucky.

everyone else agree? P14/Axial 140's are bomber for hucks despite the plastic toe?

any other war stories out there? I'm about to pull the trigger

Really Flynn? I have both and I have found them different. The toe piece on the FKS is slightly biggest, and they seem to weight a bit more. Also, the heelpeice, "the boner" if you will, is slightly different shaped

I dream of winter.

Triple_strum, you're just the guy to answer this since you ski on both

what are the pro's and con's of both after riding on both of them?

would love to get your opinion

probably different years, although it is possible i guess that the plastic is shaped very slightly differently that would account for a miniscule weight difference, nothing you could feel by hand though. The heelpiece has remained the same for years but the toes have definately gone through some changes from being rounded to more point and different toe wing types ect.

anyone who says salomon bindings are the best is sadly mistaken, although I see your point about the race series beinmg decent, to say salomon has the "best" bindings is definetly false.

bidings are bindings, yes some hold up better or w/e but if they are on your skis and you can go down the hill we should all be happy!
