Best Binding

Hello

I just got a pair of ON3P Billy Goats and was going to put an older pair of marker dukes on however am having second thoughts.

Any suggestions for bindings?

I like the idea of having the option of a touring binding if I want to use as it is a perfect ski for it.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts

Wait for those cool new Shift bindings from atomic and Salomon if you want a touring binding is what I think/am going to do... just my idea.

I have Adrenalines on my BG and love them.

Lighter than Dukes or Guardians, and I stay in them better inbounds than I did my Guardians.

OP, if you get Kingpins you have to note that they are only compatible with touring boots so they are probably not a great choice, plus, they are $600+. If you want a touring binding but aren't sure you should not go with a pin tech binding as they are really not recommended for inbounds use. Get a frame binding if you think you'll be touring, the newer dukes are a great choice as are the barons, the difference being that dukes go up to 16 DIN while the barons stop at 13. If you think you need a 16 din binding, you're probably over 200 lbs and hucking some big shit because 13 is high enough to ruin more than one knee for most people. Other frame bindings that have been reviewed highly this year are the tyrolia adrenalin and solomon guardian so those would be good to look into.

Everyone has been recommending the jesters but you haven't stated your weight or skier type so don't listen to them. People like to shit on marker griffons (essentially the jester's little brother) but most people haven't even ridden them. Griffons are a solid option for 95% of skiers. If you are 200lbs+ and hitting massive cliffs I'd say otherwise, but they are $130 less and probably more than enough binding for you. Look Pivots are nice but slightly more expensive than the Griffons plus the brake is non-changeable so if you want to put them on different skis you can't. What is your weight and what types of shit are you skiing?

I'd recommend kingpins over barons cause skiing on barons feels like skiing in high heels plus it fucks with the flex of the ski

That's true, OP I forgot to mention that a lot of people hate frame bindings because they raise you off the ski but I would assume you know this if you have dukes atm

Depending on what you want the ski for.

A more touring ripper and if you have tech inserts. Kingpins.

A ripper to do a few short tours etc and to save money. Duke or baron with the epf frame (as you can pick them up cheap these days).

Or a full on charger that you want to do short tours. Any decent 13 binding. Attack 13, sth2 13, griffon. And then get some day makers.

Or if money no object. CAST
