Best binding for skinning/backcountry booters

Been boot packing backcountry for years and i finally got everything but bindings for my BC setup. I do quite a bit of switch skiing and tricks so I plan to mount these skis center, just as I mount every other pair. Don't particularly want to buy dynafit boots just so i can get the best binding but I'm open to all suggestions. Was thinking about the duke primarily but I'm concerned with the stand height. Help me make this decision please.....

Since you are then using a boot with an alpine norm interface, you will need to stick with "frame" style A/T bindings, such as the Duke or Guardian/Tracker. Of them all, the Guardian/Tracker has the lowest stand height.

i would recommend the dukes or guardians. i currently ride the barons from like 2011 or 2010 all over the mountain and theyre holding up fine. the duke would be perfect but youll have a bit of extra weight. but for that extra weight, you still have a burley alpine binding. i dont know much about the guardians, but they are a killer binding also

best binder for skinning a dynafit

best binder for huckin booters and skiing brown eye first is a burly alpine one

cast ftw

thanks for the advice I appreciate it. Dynafit is of course the best but I'd feel like a fool if I spent that much right now on boots and bindings.

With the cast system you don't need dynafit compatible boots; you send in your alpine boots with you buy them and they punch in just the toe inserts because you only use the toe piece for skinning up (the heel risers are part of the heel plate I believe)
