No beacon is better than the other without pratice. A person using an F1 can find a burried beacon just as fast as a person using a digital one, Mammut, Tracker, Pieps.... etc. Get analog if you want twice as much range. Get a digital if you don't plan on spending much time practicing and are want a idiot proof setup. Just go to a shop and test out all the s by hidding different beacons. Try to stay away from the hybrid digital/anolog s like the Mammut barryvox and the Orthovox X1. Check ou the F1 and Tracker.
