I find my dakine mission pack perfect, good enough to hold whatever I need without having to force it in aswell, vertical snowboard carry is really handy although can be annoying to walk down stairs with if you have long skis as I have to walk down them backwards because the tails hit off the stairs.
i have the dakine heli pro pack and I love it. It can hold everything i want it to, and when it isnt full it doesn't look to big on my back even without a jacket on.
Our most popular selling packs are from Transpack. They are a simple design and carry a ton of gear when you step above their base model called the Edge bag. The XT1 Pro and TRV Pro both haul tons of gear and a helmet as well. Just be forewarned that these are very plain looking, not very freestyle inspired. The EP Team Heli Pro carries your skis and a good amount of gear (same as the Heli Pro just different colorway) but not as much as the Transpack does. Hope that helps in your decision for a new pack!
dakine heli pro packs. I've had mine for 5 years now, and between school, photography and skiing it's held up great. Had the waist strap rip when it caught a branch skiing, and dakine replaced it no charge. Awesome customer service
had a heli pro for about 3 years or so loved it and then the zipper blew out..just replaced it with one of the newer ones (26L)...carries a days worth of snacks, nalgene, trekkers, skins, extra pair of gloves, probe, shovel, goggles, and an assortment of a bunch of other shit..has a back access panel which is real prime to get to when you want to pull or put something in the pack real quick...jacket holder so you can roll it up and strap it in on top...vertical ski carry..the list goes on..solid back pack if you're looking for a little more use than just taking gloves, goggles, helmet etc to the mountain and back..and doubles for an everyday backpack as well
