Best Backcountry on the East Coast?

So I live in CT, the snow capital of the world, but I figured I could branch out and explore new things. I'm guessing its just mostly northern VT and NH, any hidden gems or your favorite mountains are appreciated.

Tuckerman's ravine on Mt Washington. By far the best in my opinion. Also there is some gnarly terrain on Katahdin in Baxter State park. There is a book, "Best Backcountry Skiing in the Northeast" by David Goodman that details all the best routes. Its well worth the $20 cover price

Just watch out for the wild bears, they are all over that place.

Seriously though, the white Mountains has the most accessible backcountry. Lot's of slides, chutes, etc. The Presidentials definitely have the best terrain but the weather is rarely good. I highly suggest being extremely prepared if you go to the presedentials. If you get caught in a storm above the treeline you can easily die.

Adirondack mountains. ADK slides are famous. And after Irene there are a bunch of untouched new slides.

Before they put a lift in 2 seasons ago, Mittersill at Cannon, NH could, with a good snow the night before (remember we're talking east coast here), could have mornings runs with knee-deep pow or better!

Also, next to Cannon's back bowl on the south face is a trailed called "Gunsight" which isn't on any trail map and like before - when the conditions are right - has some of New England's craziest backcountry I'd bet. Nice wide open powder fields with tiny trees sprinkled throughout, then riding deeper snow as you go down from the ridge into the treeline, finally reaching the old ski jumping runs (pretty sure Meatheads has footage of them somewhere)

Gunsight below:

Kinsman Glade, just to the right of Gunsight also boasts fantastic powder skiing at times. It's steep, and there are a LOT of trees, real intense. I'm not that familiar with other mountains
