Bern helmet visors

Has anyone out there tried to get rid of the visor? Or anyone know any way to take the front part off (cutting). Fuck shitty visors

why get rid of it? keeps goggles from getting blown over your head when you crash hard, keeps gaper gap at bay, and takes the brunt of a face first impact along with goggles...

not to threadjack buuuuut does anyone know how to make a helmet matte? I just ordered a bern watts, and its glossy but id prefer it to be matte, i was thinking maybe just light sanding?

spray paint doesnt really stick to glossy stuff, and i wanna keep the logos on.....whatever, ill figure it out eventually.

Mix your sperm with hooker blood and some coke that's how they make things Matte black. Why do you think Evan, Jamie, or Zac have so much matte camera gear?

salomon makes a helmet just like it(with removable beanie) that has a removable visor. two screws hold it on, and ae super easy to remove.done and done.

That visor has completely saved my face.

I clipped my nose (I was snowboarding) on a single barrel rail on a stairset. Got flipped over and ended up gutting the rail. My momentum carried my head over and into the steps on the other side of the rail. I couldn't get my hands down, and went face first. I felt the visor hit the stairs, and could feel the entire helmet flex. I ended up perfectly fine, without a single scratch on my face. Without that little visor, it would have been a pretty nasty injury.

Just buy a different helmet.

The last thing I'd want to do is mess with a helmet, regardless of what you're doing to it.
