Bent brakes

I bent my gazillionth pair of brakes today, any options other then replacing them, of should I stock up on a ton of new brakes for when this happens? I tried bending them back but it won't work.

Why wouldn't it work to bend back?

its bent like up and out im trying to use some vice grips on them maybe itll work but I think ill just end up breaking the heal piece and having to get new ones anyways

use an old ski pole and take the grip off. Then you can use it to get mad leverage to bend it back. You bought pivots though so bent brakes are to be expected

thought pivots were actually good my last pair of bindings had the breaks bend a bunch

This...if you have a short length of 1/2" PVC, copper, or galvanized pipe that will work as well. You can heat the brake carefully with a torch as well to make it bend more easily.

yeah so I took vice grips to it and reefed on that shit and it just springs back every time. Somehow it seems to be bent inside the heel piece.

Try to warm it up, and then bend it back. I had the same problem with my ski last week, and you tried to bend it back cold but that’s more difficult.
