So I happen to have a VaCa coming up the first week of May and found out about the BendOR.

$89 pass?! How do you think the parks will be that week? Are things melting, closing? Also another issue is where to stay. How are the temps looking there? Camping possible? What are some good campsites around that area? I will have 2 dogs with me as well. Or hotels? Any thoughts? Is it really crowded for that week? Thanks!!!!

I just went to mt bach lastweekend, the park was pretty sick. I stayed at a hotel on the south side of town and it was 49 dollars a night, I bet you could sneak your dogs in :)
 
there will definitely be snow up there. The park should be sick as well. Slope will be closed to the public, but the skyliner park will be sick, and Hames is planning on expanding it more for the spring as well. I wouldnt recommend camping in the parking lot. It gets pretty cold up there at night. If you want to camp I think there is somewhere down in town, i believe there are a few places. have fun.
 
just booked my motel... dog friendly and only $44 / night... really excited!!!!!! ill be there for 4 days of riding

So the big kid park will not be open? why is that?

that other park run looks pretty fun though... how bout the 1/2 pipe?
 
wait, it is still open to the public right? I can still go up there during that period and still ski skyliner all day? I hope you meant that slopestyle will be closed, and not all the slopes!
 
i wish rainbow was still open and they had a park on 1-5 like they did last year. that was my favorite park on the mtn
 
i just got back from there yetserday and didnt even ski the park because i was skiing powder the shole time. So there will definately be snow there, but the park looked perfect from the lifts
 
im gonna keep checking their website but if you guys hear that the parks will be closed or something... let me know ... that will change my plans a bit i think....
 
Yes Yes just slope. And in return they are going to expand the park (if i heard that right).
I believe Hames is going to start to build slope for private stuff on the 22nd or so? I dont know i dont work there, just doing a park shoot soon.
 
looks like you guys are going to get like a rain snow mix next week when I am heading up there.... how is chain control/road conditions driving from bend to bachlor? do I have to worry bout chaining up? (sorry I know more questions!!!)
