it was more than that. Thats why the permit didnt go through, but there were a lot of other reasons regarding sponsors (Thanks a lot to Reps who claim they will have funds to give, and then their compaines dont actually have shit) and also the budgeting of the event. For some reason some specific organizers felt that the Concert, Rail Jam, and Art Display should have the same amount of money allocated to it. Maybe I am an idiot, but how the FUCK can you spend Half the money needed for that size rail jam, on an art display? Literally multiple thousands of dollars towards hanging artwork up? Are they vincent van gogh pieces? It was gonna cost nearly 8 grand just to make the setup. I dont see how they are even comparable. Does the artwork bring people to the event? No. Because its all over bellingham every day. Does concerts bring the people in? No that happens every day. The rail jam is the unique event here, and it was the only part that didnt get worked out.

Props to the people who had the right idea, and who donated their time money and energy to trying to get this going.
 
word jberg. i wasn't gonna go to see art. i was gonna go to get super fucked up and try and hit some railllz. like last year.
 
BELLINGHAM NOT CANCELED \- new location- Forest and Ceader Park. bring your skis bring your snowboard. if you got both, then props to you. There is going be fresh tunes blasting as well.. so stop by.
 
im just gonna guess shit aint goin down. which is a bummer because jibbin sounds pretty good right about now
