What's the best way to get from Bellingham to Mount Hood during the summer, we'd be flying in and we're too young to rent a car.... any advice? the cheaper the better

i think it may be the closest place to fly in to on the airline he wants to use/the cheapest way to get from the east coast to the west coast...

Well I live in bellingham, Wa, so I'm assuming you are talking about that. It's a straight drive down I-5 to the portland, then about an hour or 2 to hood. probabaly 5 hours total.

There is an airport in bellingham that does small connector flights too.

Also the train and bus stations have lines running directly to portland. Your main issue is going from portland to hood.

Bus to Portland, or take the train. After that, you'll have to find a bus that goes to Hood... good luck.

bellingham is in northern washington, near seattle. there is no bellingham in oregon (unless its some random small town with no airport

if youre already set going in to bellingham, then take the train to portland (and trust me, take the train and not the bus. Amtrak cascades is usually a super chill train ride). then you can use various forms of transport to get to hood. i know there is a bus that goes from portland to bend via hood, so theres always that option (and there are others). or just get out to gresham and stick the thumb out

offer sexual favors to someone who lives in govy....cough (chris) cough. he likes little boys. but its an hour and a half to seattle, then 5 hours from there (by car, srtate down i5)

unless you know somebody in Bellingham or have some specific reason to fly into BLI. If you are going to hood, there really is no reason to fly into Bellingham. Bellingham is a pretty small airport. Fly into Seattle or better yet fly into Portland that is in the same state as Hood.

Although if you are not just going to Hood, Bellingham is a great college town that is an hour from Summer Hiking at Baker and 2.5hrs from Glacier skiing at Whistler.

try not to be driving anything... or even be near a road in Seattle from... 2:30-7:30. Seattle being everything from Marysville to Olympia.

yes. and in everett people slow down and back up everything to marysville for overpass construction that usually isnt even happening and presents no risk

i think the trains like 40 bucks to p-town. me and some buddies were looking into amtrackin it down from seattle to portland, I don't know if there's a train from bellingham though, probly a ton of greyhound bus shit though.

the trains super chill... can be slow, but not a ton of people ride so you get plenty of space to stretch out... seats are big, theres movies and food... cascade trains pretty rad.

looks like amtrack is 60 bucks roundtrip from bellingham to portland, not too bad, does anyone know if there are any stations closer to hood than portland?

i'll answer my own question there, no stations closer to hood, it's a wonder what you can find yourself when you just look for it... train to portland, bus to hood i imagine

you may be getting cheap tickets to bellingham but i bet you flying to portland then getting to govy will be cheaper then flying to bellingham then trying to get to govy

theres a shuttle from the p-town airport to windells. and you could hitchhike from there. people here are friendly. youl get a ride.
