so iv'e heard that next year belleare will bring there rils out. and instead of having those 3 jumps they will have a big hit with hips on the side.

from what i have heard and i work in the park is that next year the usasa is gunna run the park but this is only a rumor im not sure and also that were going to try and get more flow with jump lines and put the boxes is more of a line but i have no idea this is only from what i have heard

yea umm they most deff wont set up the old rainbow and flat down they are shit but the straight rail was supposed to be set up this season but IAN wtf man why didn't you set that up? next season i am going to work in the park too ryan we should actually put an effort in to make it not suck.

Thats what I want. It's uploaded to putfile. It's not a slopestyle set up. I like it but I want everybody to like the park so speak up and tell me what you want. I got rid of the hip and that jump that no one ever hits because you can fit two lines of rail features down that entire side without those waste of time hits. I realize the we prob. won't get the wallride and some other things I wrote down but thats what i'm asking for. I like it but I want everybody to like the park so speak up and tell me what you want.

I'm going to college next year so i get a 5 week december break. I'll be up there making the park sick.

I want to have three rail jams like tony said and monthly slopestyle comps. The rail jam will be much better than last year. I'm going to email all the skiing related companies that I can think of, to ask for prizes in exchange for advertising. We need to advertize it a shit load more. Big post on the forum with pics of set up and a challenge to beat last years winner. In my opinion you can't set up a battleship with that little snow so I don't even want to have that set up and no one was hitting the top kink or flat box so we shouldn't even have those. (Let me know If you really want them cause it'll happen they way you want it to). I'd like an actual drop zone with an inrun then flat and then lips up to the features. Belleayres insurance policy has this gay rule that you can't have gaps onto rails. So I propose we build gaps onto rails and then just pile snow up to the rail so beginners can still do them. I think if we set the down box up like that we'd be seeing sick 270's and maybe even 450s.

So send me ideas cause I want this thing to kick some serious ass.

that would be sick, and also at the end of all the boxes you should build a small table, there's more that enough room

Do you mean in the park or for the rail jam? I'm thinking you mean the park. We definately can't do that though. Cause thats where the two trails meet. Stupid gapers could be coming off the other trail and do the jump and break their arms and then sue us for not having signs down there. We'd have to rope it off or something. So thats a no.

Guys check out my rough design though. I want input.

We were supposed to get the rails out, but i'm pretty sure Ian just didn't get them out. I don't know the full story though managment might not want them or anything. According to tommy they're old and ugly. I don't want two big hits where the 3 tables used to be. If you really want them though we might make them. I'm going to really try to get our old rail and the rainbow back into the park. That would be sick. Also, there's the possibility of a learning park next to the pipe with a small box and two small jumps.

Next year will kick ass. Me and Ryan are going to Momentum in Whistler and we're gonna help dig there and learn how to make a perfect park.

Holy fuck if you get the park like that next year its going to be so great, just thinking about the wallride, qp, and the butter pad have me excited. Im sure there will be similar comments on that great design.

Yea, that was Ian's idea. I completely disagreed with him on that. Way too fucking big. You had to start at the gate. I didn't have a problem with that but all the little gaper kids would start where you used to be able to start and they'd cut me off. Theres a good chance we won't get a wallride though. It is Belleayre after all. But I can always try to make it kick ass. Also, jump size should keep up with distance needed to be cleared. I went to loon and their little 10 foot jumps had the same amount of snow as our 45 foot gap or however big that was. They're big tables had 45 or so feet but the jumps themselves were like 10 feet tall.

I really want to blow all the other mountains out of the water next year. But I don't know if it will happen. Depending on how much management cares and how much resistance I get from some people on park crew. Whatever though, its gonna kick ass either way.

Some random shit that I want.

-Sound System- I don't care how gheto it is, I'll bring up a shitty little stereo and an extension cord from the lift shack or something to listen to songs from ski movies.

-Changing Features- We need to change up the features to keep things interesting throughout the year. Like turning the c-box around so people have to learn to slide the other way, and not having it at that gay exteme angle. Changing the kink box from A frame to flat down to up flat. Changing the skinny box from a sweet down box to a massive up box. Like where the set of three used to be right near the edge of the knuckle so you can fucking launch it.

-Dealing with ice- landings get so fucking icy so fast. At other mountains the groomers frequently push the snow in the landings around. = not so damn icy

Another way to help this is to keep features away from each other.

The kink box was way to damn close to the flat box people would speed check like crazy and by the end of the day a giant sheet of painful ice comes.

I just wrote a lot. If you read I hope you like it.

Werent you guys using a ghetto backpack stereo this year? That was kinda funny but I guess its a way to get music. I hope all your plans go through though it will make the park unbelieveable compared to last year. When you look at it though, so much progression happened this year, unlike the years before with the park consisting of 3 hips and some forgettable stuff.

I hope that windells will bring up my skill a little so I can not be so bad, but meh, this was my first year of progression in the park. Im sick of typing now -.- I can tell when I get close to telling my life's story.

it would be awesome if you make long runins for the big jumps because i am small and it is hard for me to get speed even if i straight line stuff. and the plans for the park are sick, wallride would be dope

i went to belleayre once last year and it suked. they had one big kicker with no landing, 2 rusty rails, and two kickers that were barely big enough to throw you a few feet. also, the park closes at 4 cause they placed it in area that keeps it soft when the suns shining and its warm but when the sun goes down and it cools off, its a sheet of black ice. the size of the trails on the map is litterally the size too.

Slightly true, but you're really over exaggerating. The park crew then were just starting out and they didn't really have a clue what they were doing. I'm happy we even had a park then. Things have been getting better. This year we got 5 boxes and we were the first (i think) mountain in the east to have a rail jam.

However, next year will be fucking crazy. Both me and Ryan are going to Momentum. We're going to help dig every morning to learn a shit load. The park will be fucking crazy next year.

Everything closes at 4, not just the park. And its not because of ice. They didn't make enough money with night skiing. I definately agree with you about last year, our park was shit.

Yea, that kicked so much ass. Next year I don't want the two boxes up top cause no one hit them. Also, you can't set a battleship up with that much snow so it sucked. I don't want it in the comp.

So goals being, longer deck for the boxes so the transition of hill to box is smaller. Steeper landing zone. A jump. Far left- skinny box set as a gap to down. Middle flat wide box. Right- C box.

That layout looks sick, but I ride Belleayre occasionally, and It's going to be tough to fit all that stuff in there comfortably, atleast I think. But props this year, it was much better. It was always smooth and had fun shit when I was up there. No real suggestions, but I think you guys will make it sick. do you guys do anything with the half pipe, because its usually pretty weak

Agreed, half pipe is shit. When they groom it, they never go deep enough so it stays shitty. Tommy says we're getting a progression park with mini box + mini rail and atleast two little jumps. However, Tony Lanza isn't "sold" on the idea yet cause he's being silly. So we need to trick him into letting us make one.

Yea, this has nothing to do with Belleayre's set up next year. But check out our summer set-up.
