I am a first year park skier and could use some tips on some beginner tricks anything will help thanks

If your not falling, your not skiing hard enough!

Your going to fall, once you accept that, trying new tricks doesn't seem as scary. I also like listening to music to get my self pumped when i'm trying new tricks.

First learn 180s, then 360s, work on riding switch, work on boxes, one you got boxes work on buttering or 270ing them. Then work on more indermediate rail tricks like K-Feds. Then move on to hand rails and just keep trying stuff one step at a time. Good look.

learn to actually ski first. learn to carve and power through turns, learn bumps, and quick turning. dont be another park rat who cant actually ski on the mountain.

take a lesson first and you will be able to progress much quicker.

i'd suggest attempting to keep your unnatural tricks up to par with your natural tricks right from the beginning.

best thing to do is dont be scared. just focus on what you want to do before you attempt it. look at it in your mind on how you think it should be. definetely look for someone who is very good and friendly, also when you are in a spot of a park where there is either no features or you cant hit them ride switch and learn switch carves. most of all have fun and dont push yourself too hard

i kno half of this sounds like bs but its all really good advice: be committed with your tricks. going into something without a 100% mindset of landing it will probably end up badly. and a rule of thumb for flat boxes is feet should width apart, and as directly upright as possible.

Like the latter, dont be afraid to fall. Oh and you improve waaaaay faster when you are skiing with people that are better than just skiing by yourself.

dont let people intimidate you....they were at the spot you are at right now...so dont be afraid to ask for help

Throw ones all over the place and try to ride switch until you find somewhere else to do a switch one back out. Its a fun way to improve your switch riding

WEll dont be scared. Its all about balls. The bigger balls the faster you will learn and then you will stop falling so hard. So basicly get a lot of hard falls out of the way now. Another thing is to make sure that you always push yourself harder but dont be dumb about it! Have fun with it bro

On rails and boxes put more weight on your leading ski, it won't catch. And agreed with above, learn how to ski the whole mountain before you jump into park.

just go hard and dont be afraid to fall and yea make sure you can do the same shit unnantural as natural and do it as you see it

the best advice i can give you is committ to whatever your trying and the outcome will be better than if you bitch out. just remember to keep your weight centered while riding boxes & rails. try to learn to lock in on your edge of your front ski, this is the first step to learning spins off of boxes/rails. try learning 3s they are alot less scary than they lok just go up to a jump, prewind and as you reach the lip start looking over your shoulder until youve gone all the way around and can spot your landing. its all about the head rotation because your body will follow

if it is your first year skiing all together, dont start in the park immediately. first take some runs on the cruisers, get so you can actually carve, and become sufficient at skiing bumps. ***i dont care what you think is the truth, all skiing disseminates from mogul skiing, and if you can run the zipper than youll do better anywhere else on the hill.
and the most important thing: there should never be any space between your goggles and your helmet. if you have that problem you cannot possibly ski well.

get good at skiing all mountain before going in the park, start with grabs, 1s, 3s, get reely comfortable on rails, thaen learn 270s.
