Any beers similar to Newcastle Brown Ale? Also, any beers that you know of that aren't very hoppy and have a really crisp flavor?

try , try and try again till you find something you like. If i remember correctly new castle is an ale. I would start with beers in that category. I would try to recommend some, but i've only had the castle a few times, and i was, well drunk. And don't give up on hoppy beers they just take a six pack or two to obtain the taste.

and it's not for me, my buddy's sittin here tryin to figure out a beer he'd like and the only kind he's liked has been Newcastle. I figured I'd ask ns, being that lots of beer threads happen alot.

its just mass produced... ... .i prefer a nice oregon. nut brown ale...... .. newcastle is better the gennis.... and dont "eh" me ketchtup kraft eater

try other brews in the "brown ale" category. pale ales and ESB are generally low in hops. also Belgian or German wheat beer like hefeweizen might be good for him.

Uh Sam Adam's actually uses a ton of hops.

Magic Hat might be pretty good, but I think they use a lot of hops in #9. Try it.
