Beer Pong Timelapse - Egg Timer

Hey, I thought i would post this up here as I think the idea behind it is pretty cool and that NS could get some ideas and inspiration from it.
I got the idea from Philip Bloom.com where someone adapted a egg timer to create a ''automatic panning motor''. Heres the link:
http://philipbloom.net/2010/06/30/eggtimer/

Its pretty simple to do and and I think some people on here could get really creative with it. I know I have some other ideas. Anyway, i didn't go as fancy or technical with my experiment. I bought the cheapest egg timer i could find (which happened to be a lovely ladybug) and blue-tacked my GoPro to the top. Set the camera to take a photo every 2 seconds and let it run as we played.
Here's the set up:

And here is the video - Please watch on Vimeo for much better quality! Enjoy

such a sick idea! loved it man! spotted a bounce in one of the frames at :23.

nice work dood!

Ya I loved it too! and some spots it bounced a bit but they were playing beerpong...what do you expect?

Thats a great idea! I dont know how well an egg timer will do under the weight of my t2i however...

sick idea that turned out well! Party looked like a brofest though...

and theres nothing wrong with that

nah my bad, it was :15, I was talking about the coolface of the dude in dark grey on the couch

You could always take like a pizza pan and attach it to a bicycle sprocket, take another smaller sprocket and a chain and an electric motor and battery from radioshack and then rig that up to slowly rotate for a long period of time.

wait a minute, what the fuck am i doing in M&A?

Thanks guys, glad you liked it. Its super easy to do i recommend at least giving it a try and see what cool stuff you can come up with. Ive got a pool party event coming up late in the summer which im shooting a vid for so planning to put this up somewhere on the DJ booth looking at at everyone and the DJ's spinning round. Who knows, could be pretty cool.
You can buy a proper device if your too lazy to make one yourself, you could probably find them elsewhere, i just pulled the first one i found:

I wonder how much weight that will support, but that is a really cool thing to do. Definitely doing that this summer
