Cause we need one, amiright? This thread is for questions, stoke and all around tomfoolery. Have at it folks!

First order of business, closing day will be 4/20 this year. Jah smiles on us this glorious day.

not to mention easter.

...and on the third day jesus rose again bearing gifts of 40's and blunts to all those who shred in his name.

Early snow is actually very likely to cause persistent gnarly shit layers. Here's to hoping the few inches that fell all melts away until it's cold enough to really stick around.

I'd assume a Big Sky pass will allow you to access both areas, however just a moonlight pass will not let you ski Big Sky.

:/ i couldnt buy biggest skiing in america pass, whatever 600 is a good deal for out west skiing. especially considering that my usual pass in minnesota is 450.

I know there's snow at the peak but is there snow at the bottom of the mountain. i was thinking about taking a rail up there and hiking it.

you'll get in a pretty good amount of trouble if you get caught hiking big sky. i'd go to bridger to set up preseason rails.

The spot isn't on the big sky resort its behind some condos to the right of big skys bigger parking lot. Someone already had 3 rails set up and we were going to session that.

talked with marketing the other day. sounds like people who bought passes last spring will have the option to upgrade their pass for a "relatively" small amount and gain access to both MLB/BS. however, the resorts are operating as separate entities for the time being and big sky passes will not include access to MLB & vice versa.

that's probably for the best. all i know is that employees get to ski both so i'll be seeing you guys whether you got mlb or big sky passes wahoooo

for realz? I was talking to an instructor from MLB and he said that might be the case but he wasn't sure. If it is, then this season just got waaaaaay more epic.

highly doubt it, big sky isn't big on letting people hike pre season. AND THANKSGIVING IS SO FUCKING FAR AWAY DAMMIT

So this is complete gas station hearsay, buuutttt I was told that the head of Moonlight's park will be in charge of Big Sky as well.

last I heard nate was still in charge, I think you have it the other way around. I also heard that billy from Great Divide might be a part of the parks this year which would be dope, he brings great vibes and creativity to that goofy little mountain, I would love to see what he can do with a bigger mtn and bigger budget.

Where to start.....

Moonlight and big sky are one ski resort now. The Moonlight name will be no more. Moonlight park crew and big sky park crew are one thing now. It doesn't matter who is running what. What matters is that everyone is coming back from both sides and both sides offer good things to the table. This merger will be a great thing for the progression of Montana park riding.

If you bought a moonlight pass you ride moonlight, if you bought a big sky pass you ride big sky.

There will be a add on for each pass so you can ski everything. There will only be one day ticket sold and that is to the entire mountain. You wont be able to buy one pass or the other.

This year on the moonlight side and big sky side all the parks will still be there. That means 9 parks for "big sky" That means 15 terrain park employees and 3 park cat drivers (NO I DONT HAVE ANY JOBS AVAILABLE)

With this comes great things, big sky has put up alot of money to better both parks this year. More labor, cats, steel, build nights, space, snowmaking.

There will be a completely new look for every feature on lone peak as well as a hand full of new features.

A brand new park run has just been complete that could be open as early as opening day along with 2.0

We are welcoming Oakley, Burton, and POW as sponsors this year.

Multiple new park events will also be happening this year (more info to come)

Thats all I got for now follow us on Facebook for more info

fuck yea nate, i was hoping you'd get on here and tell everyone what was going on. sounds like nothing but good shit happening with the merger as far as parks are concerned.

moving the park will be the best thing BS could do for variety....such a good decision.

I don't think its being moved per say, they are just adding on. Swifty park will still be there last I heard

ya id still keep swifty up because its a park run 100%, but focus on other areas of the mtn now that they own it

Hey guys, I'm going to be new to the area this year since I'm transferring back to Montana for school and am wondering about the urban ski/park community around Bozeman. I'm hoping to be able to meet some individuals that like to go out and do urban/park to film etc. Do any of you know people who are also interested in the urban/park scene for wanting to go out and get shots or just have fun on random nights when it's snowing? Any help about this topic would be awesome because my hope is to be able to meet some of you and film too!

I'm jacked to be able to ski a lot this year!
