Becoming a Pro

Well first off, don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it. It doesn't matter how old you are but if you know how to push yourself and get good quickly it can easily, easily happen. Second of all, don't ski because you want to be a pro. Ski for the skiing, and if you can get sponsored and win contests or make a good segment, than more power to ya!

dude just have fun and push yourself...i switched to skiing from snowboarding last year and have already gotten sponsored cuz i work my ass off learnin sumthin new everyday...make sure u make urself none at comps and talk to reps and dont be annoying to them...if they see ur progresive a good individual and promote urself/and them well theyll help you out....i kno it far from bein pro...but it helps out man...i started skiing when i was seventeen and im def not pro but i dont have to pay for gogs and gett Heavly discounted everything from a local shop so shit man keep on keepin on....

wow i hope i inspired you haha...my bad for tellin my skiing life story

HAHAHA how many posts you have on ns has nothing to do with becomong a pro. Tanner has like 40 posts! If he's 16 he can still get sponsored. He just needs to work on his tricks and start winning some comps and getting his name out there.

dude you kinda sound like me but i might be alittle better(not being a dick) my parents want to kno what im gonna do with my life cause im not that great in school and i never tell them i want to go into the ski industry someway somehow. and as the season comes to a end i relize that i coulda done a ton better than what i did. set goals for the next season train all summer try to go to summer camp. rollerblade it helps with balance on rails. and good luck go to all the comps you can next year

listen to the positive responses like Alex_G, you can become pro if you work really hard, ski as much as you can and when you are off the hill make sure you stay in shape, trampoline and work on progressing your tricks, don't just huck anything make sure you know what you are doing and do it right, i see countless people throwing tricks that are just hucked which makes it impossible put style into it or progressing from it because they are throwing it wrong to begin with and could take years to fix. Hard work is the key man, keep it up.
