I was thinking about moving out to Big Bear at the end of the summer. Can any tell me how it is out there as far as jobs, things to do, atmosphere? Any good bars? Much appreciation!
 
Bear is a cool town, but there isn't much in the way of stuff besides the mtn. There's some bars, but only a few aren't sketchy. Women are rare to be had in Bear, and you're better off going down the mtn to either OC (Newport) or LA. Jobs are around. You can always work for the mountain, and they hold a job fair sometime late summer/early fall. Things to do at night? Night ski Friday/Saturday, and meet up with buddies and hang out. There isn't much nightlife, actually theres none at all.

Meet people from the mountain and go to house parties while skiing and working. You'll have fun.
 
i agree ^^^.im a 16 yr old trying to have fun in big bear. there isnt much. during the ski season, skiing is pretty much your life. not much to do in the summer, skate, mtb, stuff like that. as far as bars i cant say lol but big bear dosnt really have much. it is a fun place tho. alot of people work at the slopes, including me. as far as summer jobs there isnt really anything.
