Bear Creek Big Air on Apirl 1st!!!

It is happening, on Lower Kodiak, the jump is pretty much the width of kodiak, rain or shine, Practice and registration is 10-12, registration cuts off at 11:30, 2 runs, best of, winner takes all, And it is a hike only comp. SHould be fun, Get as many people as you can to come out and ride!

and is this going to be like the park that you were supposed to have until mis April or is this really going to happen?
 
skier expert-intermediate snowboard expert intermediate and womens, Yes we have all intentions of doing it and the jump is already built, soo.. Yes it will happen
 
im not sure how big the biggest one will be , its prolly 100 feet ryte now but were aiming for the 70 number for the comp, 3 other lips though, all the way down to 30 or 35 i think, i just got a little carried away today!
 
I think I'll be doing the taxi cab thing again. Mr Park manager could you ask mgt to point the web cam at the jump, please?
 
100 feet?

theres no way you can host a 100 foot jump and actually make it good. you have to make everything PERFECT for jumps that size.

plus its going to be very warm, which means speed isnt good. i dont beleive for a second that a 100 foot jump is going to happen
 
i love how people dont beleive anything that is said. Blue went off this year and people still dont believe that they had a legit park, let a long a 70 foot step down.
 
well now that its hot as hell its doubtful to be 70 feet. i am trying to go though. has anyone seen it recently or know any recent news?

agreeing with steve...theres no way to have anything more than like a 50 this late when its this warm.still should be a sick comp though.

i was at bear creek though 2 weeks ago and the jump line was nice except the takeoffs werent that good.has anyone seen the takeoff and lip of this new jump??
 
Andy - could you make sure that rotating sleds are park at the jump? It is really gonna suck when someone gets hurt and it holds up everyone else for twenty minutes. Face it. there are not that many contestants that have anything big to hit all season if that is truly what you are building.
 
dorsey, dont salt anything. its only going to make it a bigger mess. salt doesnt do crap unless there is enough snow or cold enough air for it to refreeze. you're just gonna turn it into a giant pondskim if you use salt.

The comp def. was a good turnout...I don't know who you were referring to as being rude but I def. wasn't rude to anyone i am an employee at BC but I was judging today so I can not speak for the others...
 
bobert540 i will apologize for the rude comment. actually most of you were very nice. it was only that one girl in the park crew who kept being incredibly rude. again, i apologize. however it did make me have ill feelings towards the BC staff and as unfair as that is, when people behave as she did it gives your mtn a bad vibe.

nah you did a good job dorsey. i doubted you at first, but you guys pulled it off, and honestly, i thought it might have been the best jump you had all season. in run was a little hairy at times, but thats to be expected when everyone is hiking up it. the short jump had such a nice lip on it. thanks for the compliment on my 3 haha. i even got a semi-compliment out of kt for it, which never happens when i do 3's. thanks for a good season guys!

nah, shit was way out of line steve...wasnt cool at all. i'd be pretty pissed too if i'd never been at a mt. before and someone just started shit out of no where....oh well, comps over, it was fun.
 
i met her and she wasnt very nice...she said she hoped i got landed on when i was in the landing..thats not really very polite and my mom would be mad....oh well...
