Hey guys,

I am a college student from Golden who will be stayin in Vail over X-Mas in a few weeks from around the 23rd of December through New Years, and was wondering [conditions permitting obviously] if anyone would be interested in hookin up over that week to ski some local Backcountry around Vail, I'm thinkin East Vail, The Hike Access off of Blue Sky Basin, and possibly some of the terrain around the Backside of Lion's Head Towards Minturn. Of course this all depends on how well the BC base is fillin in, but things seem like they are building up pretty well; I was at Vail today [12-2] and was skiing knee-deep freshies without hitting much underneath. I'm also interested in just skiing with someone at the resort, I feel like I knoe most of Vail's stashes, but a local to show me around a bit more would be sweet. I ski on 07' Seth's mounted with Marker Duke AT bindings and G3 Skins and have [and know how to use] avy gear and have pretty extensive BC experience, i would be lookin for the same. I like to ski steeps and trees more than anything, but occasionally mess around in the park or bumps. Anyways yeah give me a holler on here or at ppersson@mines.edu, also BTW I have room at the condo I'll be at for 1 or 2 people to crash a few nights.

peace,

phil.

Id be down, I work for Vail. It doesn't sound like I have as much knowledge about the BC as you, but I ride pretty well and am def down to ride a few days here and there.

i work at vail, and my boss & managers are all BC junkies and are showing me the ways of the east vail bc, i'm pretty stoked... so i'm sure you can roll with us we all know our shit and all rip it up

i ski east vail alot, have my AV1, so i'd definetely hit it up with you if you wanted. i'm assuming your a good few years older than me though.

Hey guys thanks for the response yeah I'm def. still down for trying to hit up some BC around Vail from the 22nd through New Years, It looks like the avy danger is pretty high right now unfortunately due to an early season unstable snow pack and tons of pow lately but it should settle down soon....There is some good lower-angle, safer stuff up at Vail Pass i've heard about I would love to hit up...anyways yeah message me or somethin and let me know whats days you might wanna hit up and where and chances are it will work for me.

Peace,

Phil.
