Bay Area Culture and Skiing

This is probably going to generate some controversy but...

I can't help but see so much Bay Area culture in skiing these days. The goofy clothes, high energy music, and overall stigma of skiing is so similar to what went on with the hyphy movement a couple years ago in the bay. FYI I grew up in the bay so I have a plenty good sense of what I'm talking about. Discuss
