Batalla skis

@batalla_skis could you tell us how many skis are going to be in your lineup this winter?

There is a reason people like ON3P. In addition to having sick topsheets and being made semi-locally, they have the thickest bases and thickest edges on the market. The base material is also hardened like a tank. Their skis not only perform well, but they hold up for ages.

I'm not biased here, as my fav company is Head(they put fucking computers in their skis, so badass). I just bought a pair of ON3P (BGs, for reference) and really loved them.

I suppose one of the only downsides is they cost a bit more.

We have 4 different skis and 2 different sizes (Park Reapers 175/182cm, Powder King 175/182cm, All Mtn Twins 177/186cm, Spriggs Big Mtn Pro 183/192cm).

Batalla skis are handmade in the USA. The bases are die-cut sinister, bases and edges of the Park "Reapers" & "Spriggs Pro" are 2.5mm thicker than standard skis to handle nasty rock and rail strikes.

Is this a typo or am I misunderstanding? According to Evo on3p uses 2.5mm bases and edges, and that's apparently 38% thicker than average bases, you're saying yours are roughly 4mm bases?

Actually Batalla is a super sick company making big moves and dope skis in this industry. I know a couple people on the team and they wouldn't be riding for them if their skis weren't quality. Worth the investment.

Still cool, regardless.

Out of curiosity, will you be producing any other products, such as poles and stuff?

We will in fact be producing other items in the future. Follow us on FB and insta to find what that will be, I think you are gonna like it!! Soft goods of course, No poles unfortunately but a great pole co made here in the USA is Panda Poles @ www.pandapoles.com check them out.

Hate to break it to you coreupts are more of a collectible now. Also Not sure how usefull an "unbiased review" will be to someone such as yourself who seems to already have a biased opinion on their skis already.... You want to spread the word of unbiased views. Don't go off the deep end on theses guys. My lawn mowing money's tied up ATM so don't worry about me, but welcome batalla

^ the skis in the video are not even batalla for majority from what can see and you have absolutely no idea what the flex is like

If Epic Planks is manufacturing I am confident they will be a quality product, and even better, made in the USA. Just another reason to not support all these chinese outsourcing companies!

2.5mm. thicker than standard skis.

not

2.5 mm thicker than standard skis.

I'm excited to see how the park ski you will be producing will be!

Do you mean sintered? Or is that just the name you're calling your sintered bases?

This thread has taught me two things. Spriggs switched sponsors. Your spelling and grammar is poor.

I'm sure you guys are probably pretty busy starting a new company and all, but perhaps you should take some time to update your NS profile seeing as this is your target audience? Photos/specs of skis, add some videos, location, website address, etc...

idk, might help with some of the questions you are getting in this thread. Also, just a tip, avoid using ski gabber to promote sales.

no hate, just suggestions. they did post a sale in here, which is fine, they can do as they please. And I wish them all the luck in the world bc I love seeing new companies popping up

dont compair them. two completly different skiers and both amazing! plus, bobby may not have backflipped corbet's, but he was the first person ever to triple...

You are totally correct!! We are super busy but I will update our profile with photos/spec and what not. As we are new to the industry we appreciate your understanding as we learn the ropes on NewSchoolers. Constructive criticism and feedback totally welcome.

Hahah..major iPhone fail... gotta love the autocorrect!!! Sponsored by apple. Yes "sintered" not sinister. Even though sinister bases would be cool.

You should call them sinister bases and stone grind "666" everywhere on the bases.

""Make you go as fast as hell"" is the byline haha

This is going to be sick! Stoked on the Spriggs Pro Model! This guy slays hard--look for a true bc triple from him this season.

Well, they have a rad team that are super stoked. This is NS after all. Everyone was gargling Klint balls until they didn't pay their athletes.

Curious to see they construction with urethane sidewalls. Even though if it was such a good idea I believe more people would be doing it.

Yeah me too. If you happen to have extra's or you're just feeling generous, I would gladly accept a pair.

Most web editors don't have spell check. It's an irritating thing.

I'm sure they will fix it. People make mistakes.

You are right on this and our web designer speaks multiple languages. We have correct the issue. Thank you for catching that misspelling @TijmenDal we appreciate your feedback on that matter.

Yep the way everyone is getting hyped up over the signing of some big names really reminded me of Klint and Coreupt and now both are dead (I heard coreupt is coming back though.) They simply didn't sell enough skis to pay everyone on the teams. Getting Spriggs on your team can't be cheap. Are they banking on him to sell a lot of skis? It is their first year and it usually takes a few seasons to work out the kinks. I hope they don't get ahead of themselves.

There are lot of independent hand made ski companies popping up these days. I can't even keep track of them all: epic planks, deviation skis, bluehouse, DPS, wagner, praxis, on3p, Ramp skis, Viice. I'm sure that's not even half of what's out there. So aside from having John Spriggs to market their skis, what really separates them from the others? I bought a pair of on3ps that I really love (I couldn't break them if I tried). That had been established. People know that. Bomber construction is a staple of on3p skis.

It's great seeing small American made ski companies pop up but I think as a new company just starting out you have to prove yourself by making good fucking skis not just signing Spriggs. I hope this clears up anything I said that was misinterpreted as "hate". Best of luck Batalla.

Those park skis and all mountain skis have such sick graphics! If only their park ski had a little rocker or early rise, it would be perfect! I kinda want a pair haha.

All BATALLA skis have early tip rise. The reapers have a substantial amount of camber with a touch of rocker. Only the powder King is full reverse camber. It hard to tell from the files. We will clean that up.

Oh ok nice. Also, do your skis measure true length? For example k2's sizing is actually bigger than they list their size at. Just wondering.

Our skis measure true when they go into the press but when you turn the tips up and trim you lose some. So for example: a 180cm will come out (this is an estimation ) to approx 177.5cm.

Ok nice to know. Also, forgive me if I'm missing something but I don't see any description of flex of each ski and any pictures of their bases.

All molds and cassettes are machined aluminum. With a space age metal press getting it on, which provides even pressure on the entire ski thorough out the pressing process.

I'll make that correction thank you. The flex of the skis: Park Reaper -medium flex (6 )

All Mtn Twins - med/stiff (7.5)

Powder King - med/stiff (8) but the design will make it feel less.

Spriggs Pro - stiff (9+) designed to be a big mountain bomber. With rocker/camber/rocker & early tip rise.

or even RMU , Icelantic, Fatypus, Praxis, Lib Tech, Folsom, Slant etc....

...maybe, he could also mean a company who.s skis materials are also 95% domestically sourced with american made materials ...647496.jpeg
