Skiers becoming straight up rasta. We may think now, who started this whole darn gangster guerilla steeze thing? Why that would be Tanner Hall of course. It was T hall that shifted skiing from hard rock and backflips to misties and some hip hop. Tanny is obviously now shifting towards Reggae and rasta, and it seems some other pros who may or may not have hung out with Cali P are following the movement. Using the hip hop historical parralel, I can completely see skiing becoming a rasta movement, with jamaiican color ski suits, no poles and much more jah. The weed stays the same. And still haters will call us posers for acting like black people. But we will still be the most damn steeziest fellas on the slopes!

So with that, escuse me while I light my spliff, HAAAAH HAAAAAH HAAAAAH HAAAAH.

(Im actually down with skiing becoming rasta, that would be radsauce. Haha)

 
Eric Pollard. He is the future of skiing. No one is as clean as him. Fujas, Mahre, and now Benchetler are on board now and they're some of the big names, still not gangsta or rasta. They are skiing 5 or 6 years from now. That's how I see it, skis will keep getting wider and soon the avergae park ski will be four inches or more just like LINE's Elizabeth.
 
heres some ski history:
Tanner got the idea for guerilla style from Marc Frank Montoya. MFM told him that if he skiied, that's how he would rock. Some say that MFM is behind other innovations like afterbang
 
I think he's right. If you watch The Massive I think there will defenitly be more raggae and Jamaican colored clothes but Tanner still uses poles so I don't know about that. BTW I shook hands with Tanner 2 days ago so CLAIM! i guess.

I also have line anthems with wolves on them

i'm going to call in five years skiing will be 95% about truck stop steeze, and we'll all be drinking high life, doing speed, and brining hookers to the hill and storing them in smoke shacks.
 
Naw dude ive had my wolf tee for about a year now, its strait hood, so is your unicorn one. Im thinking of getting this steezy pink unicorn and castles tee

candide is the OG rasta.. Tanners a poser like mikeal who jumps ship from trend to tend.. look at me i think im black... throw up a gang sign.. TEch 9... fukin wiggers.. mad respect for there skiing.. but those kids got mad identity issues.
 
This is not skiing! Our pre-historics nordic ancestors created skiing to get across the mountains of their home, help them with everyday lives (hunting, fishing, living), not to be some thuged out wanna be playa hata who shows butts in an edit. And by the way PROBABLY the WORST edit I have ever seen.

Yeah man that was what I was gonna say, Candide is the first skier I saw with the rasta look, rastafaride? come on man, he was rocking that when tanner was still that cocky rap-obsessed guy that everyone hated..... now we love him..... sweet
 
You've never seen any of Candides videos or events over the last few years have you.

Whiteboy Rasta-ness has been around in freesports for decades.
 
honestly. everyone could wear like denim sleeveless vests over there jackets, get bear guts, grow mustaches not just in march, and wear shirts that had a wild animal, the stars and bars, nascar, or simply the phrase "don't mess with texas." we'd all get to carry guns, just like hip hop inspired skiing, and the industry would flip a lid trying to make goods for us instead of us following the industry. plus the amounts of sleezy hookers flocking to the hills would keep casual families and gapers away making the need for a park pass disapear.

Who wants only one pole tip when you can have 3x the traction in your pole plants?

are you seriously saything that tanner hall brought misty flips and hip hop into skiing?

i've got ski films from when tanner was not even a blip on anyones radar and it had corks, d-spins, rodeos and yes even doubles. this was crica 2000

hip hop and skiers smoking pot have been together for years. all tanner did was put it to mass media.

 
i dont think atall that tanner hall started the reasta rap movement in skiing i think that ppl idolise him for bringin it to the media but he sure as hell didnt start it. hes a great skier and has talent but there are many better skiers that arent as popular and were into that trend ALOT longer than tanner ever was.
