Base gouge sweet on artificial snow?? Needs fixing?

I've got a little base gouge on my ar5s( length of a pinky finger) and I'm going up to snowplanet where they use artificial snow, do I need to fix this ith ptex or whatever or will it be Algood, cause I heard the artificial shiz can rot the wood core......thanks

i have a gauge on my summer setup (turf and construction orange stuff) and i haven't noticed any problems it shouldn't be a huge deal. If you are going to be using those skis this upcoming season though might not be a bad idea to gettem ptexed now, Just to save the hassle later.
