Bamboo poles

Sitting in the darkest corner of the shop I'm working in, there are a set of old bamboo poles. They look like they're in good shape and are the right lenght for me. I think they'd look and feel pretty sweet, but I'm worried about their durability. Anybody have experience with this?

Bamboo is likely the most durable wood there is.

Theres a company that has a thread on here thats actually make bamboo poles for like 150$. And they say theyre great. They wont get cold so that a plus.

They look quite old; big white baskets and sharpened tips. For $15, I don't think I can say no.
