For those who have been living under a rock the past couple months, the college football national championship is tonight between The Texas Longhorns and The Alabama Crimson Tide. Who do the intelligent individuals of NS think will win? Discuss
 
Bama. My friend talks maaaddd shit about Texas so naturally I want bama. And since Ohio State isnt in the national championship, I want Texas to get rocked.
 
i'm pulling for texas

a) they are kinda the underdogs

b) colt mccoy is a boss

c) i want everyone to stop sucking the SEC's dick

Texas is going into this game the same way they did against USC a couple years ago. Same thing will happen tonight, Texas wins.

not only do the cowboys have the hottest cheerleaders in the NFL. But the Longhorns have the hottest cheerleaders in the NCAA.
 
Gonna be a great game, Saban shouldn't change his style though. Alabama succeeds by playing perfect smart football. That's all they need to do.
 
Honestly, why is McCoy on the sideline right now...he didn't get hit hard and he just strolled off the field. Am I missing something?
 
Running game won't last against the Alabama line. They are so fast and huge! McCoy just went to the locker room...I want to see him play even though I want Bama to win.
 
what a shitty national championship game. give boise the title national champion. give us a goddamn playoff system. the only good bcs game this year was boise tcu.
 
he isnt playing the most important game of his life because of a minor strain in his shoulder. hes saving his NFL career, that will probably never exist.

 
my boise comment was a joke. not to say i dont think they could pick off one of these teams in a all or nothing playoff tournament, hypothetically speaking.

so far the boise/tcu game has been the most interesting bowl game played.
 
Not going to lie, I kind felt bad for Colt when the reporter went up to him. I also kinda wanted texas to come back cause that would of been epic

donovan mcnabb? Shut the fuck up. Hes a worthless sack of shit. But an actual good/realistic example of what your talking about would be Farve. But still cant judge the scenerio if you werent there..hes one of the most classy and best all round players in the NCAA, im positive he wanted the best for his team .
 
i hate donovon mcnabb but i think you fail to realize why i mentioned him. (few years ago he finished the game after breaking his ankle/lower leg)

good call on farve though. dude is the ripken of football.
 
o hm okay i guess your right. I dont remember this game or when it happened but alright il take your word for it. Overall however Mcnabb is retarded and if phili was smart theyd start Vick and give him a chance but mcnabb would bitch and moan so much itll never happen.
 
i like vick but id keep mcnabb in personally. although he hasnt won a superbowl hes been deep into the playoffs many times and without andy reid blowing it multiple times in NFC championship games who knows what would happen.

 
damn it this thread is about Bama vs. Texas. Shut up. You can't speculate how the game would have gone if mccoy played because texas and alabama would have played differently
 
well the games over. bama won. what else is their to do but speculate?

texas had it within a field goal deep into the 4th quarter. with a rookie qb taking place the whole game for the veteran qb. not saying texas would have won but mccoy leaving the game impacted the game a lot.

im just dissapointed that besides the 4th quarter this was a mad dull game.
 
good point, I'm just saying you alot of people will speculate on what would happen if mccoy played and only look at how texas would have played differently. You can't say that texas would have played different and Alabama would have played the same
 
what do you mean, everyone on both teams isn't 10 anymore. They can handle it especially in a national championship game where it doesn't matter if you lose by 1 or 100 you still lost it doesnt matter. also you never know what happens in college football so you need as big of a lead as you can
