how is the backcountry out there at Baker does it filter back into the resort. is it a long hike.

they get so much rain they are about tied up with snoq

Ya you end up a t the resort for most part. hemisphere takes about an hour may be less

Granted this was an epic opening-day season, I think resorts should start looking into shifting the season from mid novemeber-mid april to december - may...the past couple seasons have been some unreal spring pow shredding.

does anyone know if the gates to the parking lots are closed????

im going next sunday to build a kicker/bbq, but it would be a real letdown if we get there and cant get passed the gate

It's a national park so chances are they could be unless they have them open during the summer cause people go up their for hiking. I don't know why but I would think they are closed.

the gate to white salmon is usually locked, but you can still drive up to heather meadows
