well firefighting is an adjective i just dropped the 'g' because I was using it informally..same way people say they were playin xbox last night or jumpin on a trampoline

my dad used to be a firefighter. i loved riding in the fire trucks and just playing at the fire hall. firefighters are awesome.
 
what was it that blew up though? The airbag? Cause it seemed like literally none of them had any amount of concern regarding the fact that something just blew up right in front of that one.
 
well i see a few things wrong with this statement. the explosion went off in the front of the car.. while the gastank is towards the back? maby im wrong.. not really a car person
 
You said you see a few things wrong but only pointed out one... and I didn't say the gas tank exploded did I? I pointed out that he knew something was going to happen because the flame will eventually hit the gas tank... the explosion was no surprise to him.
 
They do: It's fucking disgusting. They fuck nurses at every hospital they go to and also go to bars that are known as firefighter hangouts and fuck all the FF groupies that show up there too.
 
They do but all the nurses think that they are like these statues of virtue and honor, when in reality they are brave honorable manwhores.
 
I just came across this thread. Awesome video. But the explosion wasn't actually the airbag. It was the water reacting with the burning magnesium in the engine block. Burning magnesium reacts violently with water. You can see the bright white flame coming out from the explosion, that's the magnesium.

I've actually had this happen to me personally. Pontiac Fiero's had magnesium in the engine as well, which was the kind of car it was. Scared the shit out of me for a couple seconds when white flame was raining down on us.
 
there is a fire hall downtown toronto near a bunch of clubs/bars i go to. all those dudes have to do is stand out side and wooof, pussy at your feet ready to feed it.
 
My dad was a firefighter who actually recently retired. I'm going to show him this now and see what he says.
 
It's happened to me too before. Older model Rav-4s have a magnesium block too. It was scary for about 1 second, then I realized what happened.

Holy crap, the photo at 1:00, of the fire tornado, is one I took! Super random. I couldn't find the original, but this is a picture from the same fire. It was a training burn when I was still pretty new with the department.

Yeah, when I showed my dad the video he told me it was because of the magnesium and he said it's happened to him also. He said he wasn't as close to the car as the guy in the video though. Still cool though.
