Bad Service at Ski Round Top?

If you're going to make a thread about whining like a little girl... at least whine like a little girl in detail.
 
obviously you have never been there before... if you are a park skiing or snow boarder you are hated. The employees will yell and and spit in your face talking crap. you can complain but it doesnt matter. A friend of mine was coming off a rail when an instructer cut him off. when we came down to the lift the the instructor took off his board while he had a class and pointed/yelled "if you would to have hit me you would have had the worst night of your life!"
 
You should come 45 minutes south to Ski Liberty, they love park skiers. Last weekend they even got a dude to snowmobile us up the hill when we were having a park shoot on a crowded day
 
oh, sorry i don't like skiing on ice? and no it is not stereotypical east coast ice, they just don't bother to groom well/often enough. even whitetail is better
 
I like roundtop, but i like liberty better. Roundtop is great if you dont suck OP, therefore, liberty is better suited to me

It's really the park and pipe crew that should be blamed for the ice.
They're too busy making an awesome web series to care about things that are scientifically beyond their control.
 
Roundtop sucks soooooo bad! It's my home mountain and the park crew is lazy as shit they keep up with anything, they never make snow, when we get real snow they groom it right away for the snow boarders, the customer service sucks, I hate my fuckin home mountain! When ever I go anywhere else it reminds me just how bad rountop really is! Liberty, whitetail, camelback, seven springs, and blue mountain r all by farrrrrr better pa mountains. Those r just the pa mountains I have been to but they all rape the shit out rountop!
 
The ski resorts customers are everything. If they keep treating the skiers/boarders badly then it will show in their income. They clearly need to clean up their service.
 
Once again, ur an idiot. We got a fresh snow like 4 days ago and it was a pow day all day. They didn't groom it at all..... How does the customer service suck? And park crew isn't lazy. You try and maintain a park with kids like you rolling over the side of the lips every 5 minutes. Everything you post about ski roundtop is retarded. Stop being a whiny little girl and learn to ski before you start complaining.
 
How is the park crew lazy? If lips need raked we do that. If your complaining about bomb holes they are kind of impossible to fill because they just get bombed out in 2 hits. Maybe if you hit something other than the baby features you wouldnt have to deal with bomb holes. Why the callout on snowboarders?(proves you are a gaper). I am still waiting for an actual complaint about customer service in this thread.

P.S. When are you coming to RT next. I would love to meet you in person and see how much shit you talk then.
 
but for reals, roundtop has one of the best parks around. Granted it might be hit or miss when you show up. But when ever i go there all of the riders are super chill and everyones real nice. So maybe you're just a bitch and don't know how to make frandz. Although Liberty will always be better forever :)
 
I went to blue mountain and realized how much i liked roundtop...i expected a lot more...all and all roundtop has such a good park for a little mountain
 
your an absolute dumb ass for making this thread. they only took codys poles because they belonged to "ROUNDTOP" dont sit here and cry about it on NS. Roundtop had the right to take the poles there THEIRS. cody is lucky he is even aloud to ski. you should actually be happy, becuase i bet any other mountain would've taken this to the full extent. stop hating on roundtop and just ski. people complaining all the time pisses me off.

but yea roundtop is not bad. sometimes the features see a little sticky or maybe some indecent lips on features but otherwise its a great park and good riding on the groomers
 
I didn't even realize what you quoted. That's not bad service though. That's just a park member who is sick of hearing that kid complain all the time. Like many others in this thread
 
ya, still bad customer service. dude is associated with the ski hill, is annoyed by a customer, and then proceeds to instigate a confrontation.

That my friend is what you do not do if you are trying to give anything resembling good customer service. it doesnt matter that the kid who started this thread might be douchy, bad customer service is bad customer service.
 
we are talking about a diferent kid. the kid that started this thread is mad cause the mountain got the cops inovolved cause he was riding with stolen rental poles
 
there's a big difference between starting a confrontation and defending the mountain you work for. I assume by what you're saying that the park crew should just let kids speak poorly of the wonderful job they do maintaining the park? Especially when those kids make a bad name for the park by stealing from the mountain.

But when you say "i hope i see you face to face and we'll see how much shit you talk then", that is instigating a confrontation and doing nothing to improve the image of your brand.

park staff is putting a bad name for themselves out there, and just confirming the bad customer service rumor.
 
I have to agree with this last part. Roundtop was my home mountain, but honestly it was pretty unfriendly to people trying to learn in the park. The park crew really catered to the regular riders and their own crew, or at least that's how I felt every time I went there. The kind of attitude presented by the park crew guy's last line sums them up. How about ask what you could do (being on the park crew) to improve things?
I've never gotten good vibes at roundtop, and it's amazing that the attitude of their park crew even comes out here on the forums. Disappointing. If you want to spend money on a lift ticket in PA, you can do better.
 
Alright my last statement really does come off as douchey and makes me look like an idiot. I was just getting tired of the kid talking about how much he hated RT, but never really giving any feedback to improve or atleast what he would like to see. I should have asked him what he would like to see, but instead I got kind of frustrated and typed that last line without really thinking. I was not trying to instigate a fight.

As far as being unfriendly to people trying to learn park I do not think that is true at all. I have tried to help a few kids this year that I have never met when I saw them struggling to do something. Along with that we also offer park lessons for beginners. The features in the main park are a little more advanced and the jump from the beginner rails to the main parks rails is kind of big when the season gets going and we don't have enough room to accommodate features in between (although there are some). It is true that we cater to more the regular riders because they are the ones always there and actually give us feedback on the parks.
 
our park crew is so chill. and we have features for every level of rider. we are just out there having fun just like everyone else.
