Bad cooking

wow...so today has been a day of bad cooking on my part. i knew i was bad but i didn't know how bad.

so i haven't had mac n' cheese in years so i decided to try and make some, how hard could it be? i mean theres picture book directions on the box...yeah...didn't go so well, i put mixed the milk/cheese too early i guess? cause the cheese milk was a little runny? pretty gross looking, so i just kinda chucked it.

then i decided to try to make my grandma's old russian pancakes. everything was going alright i guess but like my mom called and one was essentially incinerated (sp?) the fire alarm went off so i took it out of the wall. then one stuck to the pan and the smell of burning pancakes filled the house. a few minutes later i got a call from my neighbors telling me to check the kitchen for a fire and to make sure i was ok....damn it, i'm never cooking on my own again.

anyone else have any cooking disasters to make mine pale in comparison?

p.s at age 6 or so while my babysitter was asleep i ruined the stove/wall near stove when what i was cooking caught fire and erupted in a giant flame. i really shouldn't go into the kitchen...

i had a roommate from mexico city that started an oil fire and then threw water on it. then he covered it up and i had to tackle him before the pressure built up and it exploded in his face. so instead it exploded and burned holes in the back of my suit coat and then the whole place filled with black smoke. we had to repaint the kitchen.

i hope that is bad enough to help you feel better.

I live in a suite style dorm and my roommate forgot to put water in his easy mac before putting it in the microwave. The entire hall of the dorm reaked for 3 days.

yeah, but i dunno what happened? maybe i added too much milk? i was so excited too, damn it

didn't buy a 12pack, but thats the mac n cheese i bought

you mix the powder with the milk before putting it in? thats no good. if u followed the instructions and measured everything, everything would be good.

omg annies is great!!

but canadian kraft dinner is better and with the 'shape' noodles like rugrats scooby etc. better than american KRAFT brand 'mac and cheese' for some reason.

and jeez i can t believe you messed up mac and cheese! im 15 and make it like cake

i set an eggo on fire in the microwave when i was babysitting once. when i go chill with that family now, they always harrass me about it. if you had let your mac n cheese sit, it prolly would've thickened up a bit.

i wanted to make some tea one time, so i put a mug of water in the microwave. The problem was that the mug was a travel mug that was made of stainless steel and had a plastic handle. The metal in the microwave started sparking and flaming while the plastic handle melted. I felt like a retard.

one morning my parents were out so I decided to make a big tasty breakfast for myself instead of eating a poptart. normally I'm pretty adept in the kitchen, I can cook dinner, grill, bake whatever.. it's not too hard to make yourself a meal. but everything went wrong. the french toast got burnt and lumpy so I tried making farina but I ended up messing up the ingredients and that was shit too. I think there was something else I screwed up as well. In the end I ate the bad tasting farina and went to the beach. everyone has bad days like that. at least you didn't under cook chicken on a camping trip and get 30 people sick. (not me, but another group.)

One of my friends was making easy mac in the dorms last year and poured some water for a water bottle in the bowl and popped it in the microwave and tried to get it boiling, but it wouldn't. He put it in there for something like 10-15 minutes and still no boil. So he takes it out and tries a bite...that wasn't water in the water bottle, it was good ole McCormick's Vodka. He said it tasted disgusting

i didnt know there was a right order to mixing mac n cheese. you dont even have to measure. just throw some butter in, the cheese, a little milk and your set. easy steezy
