i know they are big and heavy, im 6'2" and about 170. anyone ski them centermounted for park?

any one wanna sells some?

I have a pair.. i'd let go if the price were right.

But center mount for park? I don't think it would be what you're thinking. They are really big.

i ride moships right now in a 182, i have no prob throwing them around. they are stiffer too. ahahha i dont know what

well there is no real point to centermounting them when recommended is so close, its a freestyle ski designed by pollard, it will rip in the park even if its 2 back from center

garret russel killed it in the park with bacons in that one vid, but then again hes garret russel

do the dimensions change for the 182 or is it still the lizzie dimensions for the 182?

i ride 179 live lifes in the park and love em befor them i had lizzies and rode those everywhere...

big skis are sooo fun!

i dont see why everyone thinks that the bacon is soooo much bigger. i mean yes it is 10cm longer, but for someone that tall they need the extra length. also, they are practically the same dimensions other than that, the waist is wider but the tip and tail is practically the same, they just have less sidecut than the lizzies. so pretty much it is just a longer version. so i dont see why they would be worse like everyone is saying, and they should ski almost the same as the lizzies.

i say go for em man, the lizzies ski really nice switch near center mount so im sure those would kill switch at center.

^agreed.

I'm not Pollard.. But Personally I think they are tough to get tech with. They are always banging together and are just clunky. If you wanna just do some smooth spins probably no more than 5's.. and a few un-tech rails.. they'd be fine.. other than that.. stick with the arv's or moships.

i'm almost positive it's the same dimensions as the bacon (115 waist). The original PFD was only in 172 and was the same dimensions as the lizzie. Then they added the 182 last season but didn't appear to change the description of the ski on the website (or the graphic for that matter, even though i think PFD's are some of the sexiest skis out there)

well, you are wrong on this, the recommended is the center of the sidecut, or "core center," and that spot is 2.5 back from the actual center of the skis.

sounds like me. i love floaty spins. and most tech i get on a rail is 270 on 270 off. maybe the occ switch up.

if those dimensions of the 182 PFD on that link are correct, the 182 is not the same ski as the bacon. it is narrower.

the bacon and elizabeth are not the same ski. the extra width and way less side cut make it quite different.

the 172 pfd is much stiffer than the elizabeth

I have them Ry guy. I have also measured them out. Maybe my skis and two other kids I know have misprinted "recommended" lines but true center on my skis is about 5 cm forward.

lizzies arent too small, they were designed to be shorter than normal. i own lizzies and ive ridden bacons and the bacons would be kinda poopy for just park.

i think we need to narrow our definition of "park" because for some, park means just jibbing but for others, park means hitting big kickers. lizzies aren't too great for big kickers because of their softness and sidecut, but they are tits for slow speed jibbing. that said, you don't need a long ski for slow jibbing, so the bacon would be a waste if that's mostly what you qualify park as. if you hit more big kickers, they would be better than lizzies, but the amount of sidecut is going to make hitting/landing jumps harder.

lizzies hate going straight, and i haven't skied bacons but i'd imagine they aren't much different.

I like how you say that the Sir Francis Bacon is too big, and then advise him to get the Prophet 130, ahahaha.

I had 130s man, they are not a park ski, much less a mid-west ski. The 100s would be better, but still not a park ski at all, they are damp with little pop and are stiff cause of the metal matrix... the Prophet series is a directional big mountain twin, meant to be skied fast down the fall line.

Bad form.
