Backyard summer ski setup

So basically Im looking to build my own summer ski setup. Just the basic drop-in, kicker, and rail. What wood should I use to build? Is it fine to just use plywood? I want this to last. Thanks!!!!

I would say use weather treated 4x4s for the supports to the top of the drop in......and then just use 2x4s as need be and plywood is fine for the top.
