a wooden starter thingw ould be better because it wont melt

and whether or not a flat or kinked rail would be better depends on the amount of speed youll have and the size of the rail

hmmm maybe i'm confused... but your gonna make a rail out of wood, or snow?

for starting off I wouldn't recommned the wood... its so sticky, you will catch on that so much, unless its steep, and you have decend speed.. but still... i wouldn't recommend wood to start.

and i don't know how ur gonna make a snow rail?

If you want to do it properly, make the top of the box out of lexan... i dont think u can make a rail out of snow...

why do you all think hes talking about a rail? he wants to know if he should make the inrun ramp out of snow or wood.

i think it depends on how much snow you have. if you always have snow on the ground, make it out of snow. if there is only snow every once in a while use wood. i actually have a dirt start ramp, but its also the landing for one of my bike jumps.

oh i see... thats why i said in the above post... that i wasn't sure if i was understanding him correctly or not.

but yeah i'd reccommend that on the acutal ramp part of it to put slides of wood across so that you can stack snow, and it won't go sliding down the ramp. i'd use so if possible.

lol... ok this hasn't been a good post for me... but i ment use steel and not aluminum... your edges will dig into it the moment u hit it... its not slidable
