Backyard ski hill?

I’ve been thinking a lot recently about moving back to the midwest. A thought that makes it a lot more bearable is buying a piece of property on a hill side and making my own little ski hill with a nice timber frame cabin at the base. Has anyone else thought about this or actually done it?

If you have friends to ski with for sure, if not maybe. Riding a small hill in the backyard could scratch the itch a bit but you might get bored doing it solo.

Maybe not, but I probably would.
