Im looking to get a backpack for skiing. Im probably going to use it in the backcountry/side country, id like to have something that its:
-Lightweight-Easily accessible -Room to hold alot of things-Preferably able to hold skis Some models ive been looking at are the dakine mission pack, and the line remote pack
Thanks everyone much appreciated

You should look into getting a backpack with a built in spine protector. Ortovox and Arva make them, and I think a few others do as well.

Dakine sucks. They carry weight like shit, carry skis like shit, and like to fall apart. Sure if you want to carry a lunch they are fine. But if you want to use them they are shit.

Black Diamond has been putting out impressive packs for a while now, I would feel confident buying from them.

Osprey makes good ski packs. There Kode series is very nice.

Camblebak has started making good civilian packs.

If you want a real pack though you will type in mysteryranch.com into your browser and look at their recreation line. Excellent packs.

I'm not a big fan of my Dakine..it does it job, but doesnt carry the weight comfy..

Check out Osprey, I'm looking into them as well.. EVOC also has a new winter line and is great but I dont know if you can get it in the US?

Agreed. BD, Osprey or Mammut if you're serious about carrying stuff. I've had a BD Covert (the old one) for a few years and I like it way more than the Heli Pro I very briefly owned.

Mystery ranch kicks so much ass. I have an old Dana Design pack that is probably near 10 years old, and the only thing that shows any real wear is the zipper pulls. Best pack I have ever owned.
